Problems Booking AKL :0( (family of 5)

Hi

I am trying to book the AKL for my husbands 30th, but we are a family of 5 and are unable to go due to the rooms being 4. We really wanted to stay in the Savannah rooms and booking two rooms is double the price due to charges etc.. My children are 7, 3 and 3 if my twins or at least one of the boys are 2 then we could of booked it.

Has anyone any ideas or has anyone stayed thier with a family of 5. We are desperate to stay there. I am so dissapointed.

I thought AKL had rooms available for families of 5.

Honestly, as bad as it sounds (and I'm sure some people will flip out), I'd book the room for 4 of you and then buy park passes for the other person.

AKL does have rooms available for families of 5. You just need to book a deluxe savanah room.

Have you considered a deluxe room at AKL? You can have 5 in a deluxe, either pool view or savannah view. Not sure what season you are looking to book in, but in regular season, a deluxe pool view is only $10 higher than a regular savannah view, and a deluxe savannah view room is $65 higher. Maybe that would be the way for your family to have their AKL trip?!

I just booked my family (DH, ME, DS9, DS7 & DS4) for our December trip - staying at the AKL Savanah Deluxe Room - they definitely accomodate a family of 5. Did you try calling Disney Reservation?

Thanks for your replies. We are going in March my husband is 30 then. My dh said he wants to go thier the other day, but he doesnt think we can go. I wanted it to be a surprise and hand him his tickets on his birthday and not sure if I should leave it any later otherwise I wont really have anything to give to him.

I phoned Disney.co.uk and they said about a delux savannah room, but they system wouldnt let me book it because of the party size perhaps I should phone Disney.com and book it with them directly. Do you have to pay upfront or a deposit?

I was thinking of booking for 4, but I was worried that one of us wouldnt have a bed to sleep in and if they found out or if something happened. If they knew at check in that the party is bigger than 4.

Maybe they dont have rooms for 5 that time and may have to phone them and try another date.

Thanks for your replies I will phone disney tomorrow. I am just so relieved that you have been able to book for 5 and they are available.

No its not our first trip we are staying in All Star Movies this year would this booking tell them we have more than 2 children?

If you're planning to use any of the EMH times, you'll have to have a room key for each person in the room. Otherwise, you'll only get 4 EMH wristbands and the 5th person won't be allowed on the rides.

You can book a Deluxe Savannah room that accomodates 5 direct with Disney with a deposit = 1 nights rate.
