Problems booking 35% off offer

I'm trying to book a room using the special offer on Disney's website, and it keeps saying "Your resort is not available," no matter what dates or resort I pick. Anyone else having problems? :headache:

Assuming you have not tried every possible combination of dates and resorts (that would most likely be impossible), it's either (a) everything you have tried is already sold out or (b) it's a problem with the website. Just one booked up day during your dates would result in that answer, so it's hard to say.

Not very helpful, but I think those are the two choices.

I would probably call on the phone - even though I hate booking on the phone.

Is it possible that the resorts are really selling out no matter what combinations of dates you select. This past August when we tried making reservations for the Contemporary Atrium Club Level floor under the room only bounceback rate, it was sold out for every set of dates we tried for December 2010 and I was very surprised by that. On the other hand sometimes the WDW website can have it's fair share of problems, so maybe something is wrong with it. Since tomorrow is the last day to get this 35% discount can you not wait to call WDW reservations when they open at 7:00 AM EST.

No matter what combination of days (or even just one day), it comes up saying unavailable. Was working fine yesterday. Guess I should have booked then. :confused3 I'll try again tomorrow.

I think it's the website. It was working with plenty of availability earlier today for the dates I wanted and now I keep getting that message whether I put in two days or nine days.

Same thing happened to me last night. I couldn't believe that they were all sold out. I was really just trying to see what the cost would be but never could get it to work so gave up.

When Disney offers a "percentage off" rate, they only block off a section of rooms for the discount. For example, if there are 100 rooms with a TPV, they may offer 20 of them with 35% off. So technically, the resort is not sold out...just the discounted rooms. Hope that makes sense...and hopefully this is the correct information. If it's not, maybe someone can help me out.

There is a problem with the website. If you call Disney directly and tell them you want the Winter discount, you will find availabilty. I already did it this morning.

It could be that they have no rooms available during your times of travel. I know they only block off a certain # of rooms for their promotions. That being said, people often book and not end up going, since you do not have to pay for the trip until 45 days from your arrival date. I know once before I booked without any discount and checked website and called them and end up getting the discount. They were great, they refunded me the $$. If you don't want roll the discount dice, you can always call them and tell them you are having problems with the website and are looking to book a trip with 35% discount.

Good Luck!

But not with the discount.

No, it includes the discount. From the special offers page just select package instead of room only. The numbers come out the same as I have an existing ressie to compare it to.

It is clearly an issue with their website as I've called to inquire and have been on hold for fifteen minutes. No doubt others are having the same problems.

Would love to know how you are doing that. I don't see an option for chosing Package or Room Only....only Check Availability Now.

Just tried as I'm planning to book today as well. Like others have said, just choose package instead of room only and work that way. Discount still applies and rooms are available, so it looks like it's definitely a website issue. Got scared for a minute!

Thank you all for the tip about selecting package! I didn't even see that - I thought I was doing a package, and it was so strange because I saw availability for yesterday but not today. I'm sure these rates do book up, but for EVERY hotel, suddenly, overnight?

Still haven't decided whether to pull the trigger though, and have to decide today. We are looking at early April and considering Disney World vs. Disneyland vs. . . . NOTHING, which is not my vote.

Same thing here. Ended up "chatting" with rep online and basically they told me to call for pricing. Called this morning and booked a room with the discount. Do it today - it's the last day for the deal.

For those wondering...the "room only" option is working again. Just booked a quick weekend at CSR for early February :)
