I've had my camera for 2 1/2 years. I mostly use it on Aperture mode, but recently it is way overexposing my photos. I have checked everything I can think of to check, but can't seem to fix the problem. I changed over to Auto when I was shooting tonight, but the EXIF data shows "creative mode: low depth of field"! What the heck?? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

I am not familiar with Oly, but I have an idea. Is there a factory reset option? If you do not know, then you might be able to check the manual to see if there is.

Oh, that's a good idea! I'll give that a try in the morning. Thank you!

You might have somehow hit the "High" key under something called "Gradation". Try to find it in your Menu and reset it for "Auto" or "Normal".

That's happened to me. All my pictures were overexposed. Hope you figure it out!

Yes, when all else fails, this is a good option. The E-510 does have the hard reset function

I checked, and it is still set to normal.

I found directions how to do this, but the "custom reset" is not highlighted for me to be able to choose this option. Sigh.

The only setting I have changed recently is from "vivid" color to "natural". I changed it back, but it still doesn't work. I wonder if they would help me if I took it to a camera store.

Ah! I think I figured it out! I found different directions for the factory reset. I'll need to take it outside later to know for sure, but some test shots just of things inside my house seem to be ok! YEA!!! Thanks very much for your suggestions!
