Problem with CRT PS

About a month ago I booked a PS for CRT breakfast for 4 people and put down my deposit. Well, I found out recently that the other 2 people who were supposed to come with us can't. So I call to get the PS changed to 2. They refunded the deposit for 2 people but I'm already set at a table for 4 because they don't have any other tables for 2. I feel really bad because I feel like I'm taking away an experience for 2 other people. What should I do? Keep calling to see if a table of 2 becomes available to switch to and then my table of 4 will be available (did that make sense?)? ::sigh::

Hmmmm...I think I'd keep the table for four.
If I were in this situation, I'd be tempted to try to spread a little pixie dust...I wonder if you could add a walk-up to your table at the last minute. Show up early, see if a party of two is being turned away...ask that party if they'd like to join your table (going 'Dutch') and then ask the host/hostess stand if two more guests could be added...

I know, I know, probably too complicated, but sometimes it's kind of fun to do the impossible .

We have had this happen on several occasions and once we arrive they are able to seat us at a table the right size - I would leave things alone.

They are pretty good there about adjusting once you are there.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I think you are really sweet to think about that. I hope you get some extra pixie dust while you are there.

Last time we breakfasted at CRT, we had a PS for 4 but only 2 of us were able to attend; DH and DS had to go to the emergency room to get DS's head stitched up! Anyway, we were credited the full deposit, only charged for 2 people, and were seated at a table for 2.

I'll bet they will adjust for the change in your party size without any effort on your part. It's nice of you to be concerned though.

I don't recall there being many (any) 2 tops at CRT and I do remember a few couples being seated at 4 tops, especially overlooking Fantasyland. If I were you, I'd hold on to what you've got and enjoy your breakfast and the princesses knowing that you've done all that you can to adjust the situation and share the magic. I don't know about asking two strangers to join you though. I'd be uncomfortable eating with 2 people I've never met before...Although it does seem like a noble gesture.

Or, see if another group of two here on the boards wants to join you for breakfast. Call dining back and tell them you have 4 again. CRT is hard to get, so I bet someone here at the DIS would love to meet you and join you for breakfast.

I was just concerned because when we called to adjust it my boyfriend said, "Well, someone should be happy because now there's a place for two more people." and the CM was like, "Well, not really...we already placed you at a table for 4." I was just kind of like, okay...so...now what?
