Problem with Costco car reservation???

Hi there.

I've tried twice now to make a reservation for our two week/7 person trip.

First I booked a full sized van and I got a little pop up that said the price could not be guaranteed - then the price jumped by $300+

Two weeks later, I tried booking a smaller mini van. Price looked reasonable, I started booking. Wham! Pop up and then price jumps $300+ USD.

What the heck???

If you really want to book your car rental through Costco I would call a help # and ask them that question. I did a car rental with them in Canada last summer and I found it to be quite a smooth process. Hopefully customer support will be able to shed a light on what is going on. If not there are lots of other car rental deals out there.

Please remember to use Costco.CA (and not Costco.COM) if you are a Canadian Member. 2x now I've been told by Costco Agents that Canadian members need to use the .CA site (apparently Canadians have been using .COM site). Reason: the terms & conditions may be different for Canadians & Americans which may "affect" your reservation (ie. not be accepted at time of car rental pick up). Hope this info helps.
