I just wanted to alert others in case they have the same problem I had this weekend making a dues payment. Late Friday night, I went into my account to pay dues before the 15th. I normally pay using a Disney GC, to take advantage of any discounts I can get purchasing the cards. After I hit the submit button, the page spun for a long time and “failed” to post the transaction. However, when I tried to re-submit, it said the payment card had a $0 balance.
On Monday, I called DVC accounting and of course, they had no record of any payments. They suggested I contact Disney Gift Cards to find if there was a transaction number associated with the GC. The only thing I was able to get from them was that the payment went to Walt Disney Travel. Now, that was a chore to figure out who to call. I ended up calling WDW reservations and was eventually transferred to their accounting department. They were able to look up the GC and found out that a hold was placed on the funds. She was able to get the funds released and today, the funds were available on the GC. Hopefully, this information will help others who might have the same thing happen to them.
