Problem Feeder: Child and Restaurants

We are planning a trip in 2015, and were going to do the DDP...we also have an autistic DD. She will be 10 when we go. If I speak with guest services, and explain her situation, can we pay the childs price. She is so limited with the food she eats, and I was looking over all the menus, and the adult menus. There will be 6 of us...even though she is considered an "adult" by Disney standards, can she order off the kids menu or have something special made for her....she will eat an uncrustable, but prefers it "frozen"!!!:confused3

We've always taken some type of food to restaurants for my DS 5. Then again it is usually Cheerios or toddler freeze dried yogurt drops - so it is similar to foods you take with a 1 year old. I have never had a problem except at rainforest cafe where we had to order a meal for him.

Right now he only eats Cheerios, blueberries, and waffles. Since we are only doing two breakfasts, I know we have to pay for him and he won't eat. I doubt the buffets or family style restaurants serve waffles at lunch or dinner. LOL. We'll bring food so his blood sugar does not get too low.

If you call special diets and inform them those are the only things he eats I'm sure they will have blueberries and waffles for him at the table services that offer them for breakfast.

Anything with an à la carte menu, she should be able to order off the kids menu. Buffets they will charge her the adult price regardless of what she eats.

If you do the DDP, you will be charged the adult price for her plan.

Yes, true. We had to pay adult prices for our 10 year old DD with autism this past May. She too is picky and a lot of food and money was wasted buying the dining plan now that she is considered adult. We will not be adding a dining plan to our package in the future, unless it is free, so we can order anything for her off the menus and just pay out of pocket.
