Problem booking ADRs online for 180+10

Last Friday, January 16th, was my day to start booking my 180+10 ADRs. Unfortunately, I was not able to book them online despite trying two browsers, three laptops, two different MDX accounts, and the app on my phone. It lets me search and I can see the available times, but when I click on a time it brings me back to the dining home page and says there is trouble searching for availability. I called at 7 and was able to get most of the times I wanted.

I called tech support on Saturday because I was still having this problem. The person I spoke with signed in under my account and had the same thing happen. She needed to contact systems. She called me back after she spoke with them and said they were working to resolve the problem and that I should check my account on Monday or Tuesday because it should be fixed.

Well, today is Wednesday and it is not fixed, so I called again. This time the person that I spoke with said that there is a general problem with the system recognizing onsite resort reservations and allowing people to book 180+10 online. I was told Disney is working on this problem.

I asked if this was a problem with recognizing resort reservations or with the ADR system. The person I spoke with wasn't really sure. My concern is that when it comes time to schedule my fast passes at 60 days out, I am going to be in the same boat. The answer was that they have no knowledge of this affecting fast pass booking ability. I am hoping this is true.

I am just wondering if anyone else if currently having this same problem with online ADRs. Also if you have had this problem in the past, were you then able to go on and successfully book fast passes at 60 days out?

Thank you!

I am also having this problem! Today is my 180 day mark, and I am at work. I am not in a position to make long personal phone calls, but can make my bookings online, so I am extremely frustrated that I can SEE what I want to book, but I just can't BOOK it. I am experiencing exactly what you described.

I can't speak for booking Fast Passes online because I won't reach that mark for another 120 days.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine reached his 180 day mark for a July 3rd trip and he also could not book online. I thought it was a fluke. But this is apparently an on-going issue. Disney has the WORST IT department. It's absolutely stunning for such a large company.

Ditto here. Booked the important ones over the phone as they were for 12 and involved characters. Very disappointed in the whole reservation process

Yup- the 16th was my 180 day mark too. I even had problems with phone contact!!! They were having phone issues and I got disconnected twice after nabbing a couple of choice ADRs!! :rolleyes2

I have been coming back to the online and it is only opening day by day....I need to get one last ADR on our last night...guess I will have to wait!!!:furious:

However I did get BOG...not a great time but I got the dinner ADR:cool1:

Anyone know when Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party opens?

:wave2:

There appears to be a thread on it, nothing available beyond early July at the moment

Are you guys renting DVC points by chance? I had the same problem but could call to make reservations. (My reservation was linked in MDX.) I searched the threads and noticed a lot of people renting points were having this problem, but they all said FP+ at 60 days was not a problem ... hope that's true. It's so beyond frustrating when you are paying this much for a vacation that the website cannot function smoothly!

TsLoveMickey,

Thank you for asking if any of us are renting DVC points. I am a DVC member, and was trying to book dining for a stay booked on DVC points. I think you have hit the nail on the head. The Disney Dining web site is not recognizing DVC reservations past the first day of arrival. In other words, you can book 180 days out...you just can't book any part of the +10.

So frustrating!

I just called Member Services and they were completely unaware (or at least the agent I spoke with was). As I stated in my post above, a friend of mine and fellow DVC member tried to book his dining online 3 weeks ago and was unsuccessful. I wrote it off as a fluke, but now I think he must've run into the same problem we all are.

The DVC rep I spoke to walked through the process online trying to book as me, and ran into the same problems. He took screen shots and is escalating to the DVC IT department. I asked him if DVC could please let members know via e-mail blast or the DVC web site when the issue has been resolved so that we don't have to keep checking back. I told him that there are other members/renters on the Disboards who are encountering the same problem. The response was, "Well, I'll ask for it, but we are such a big company, I don't know if that's possible."

If I hear or see anything, I will post back here.

Thank you everyone!

I am a DVC member also and am staying on points in July, so that sounds like it is the problem. I hope they get it worked out soon. I think I will send an email to DVC to see what the status is.

Having the same problem today. I've been up for an hour. Waiting to call now. So FRUSTRATING!!

Called and got everything I wanted except Le Cellier. Got BOG,just not at the time I really wanted, but at least I got something! :thumbsup2 Just frustrating that an entire hour had to go by and lots of reservations being eaten up while I waited to call. I am going to call DVC and make a complaint later today!

We are DVC and never have problems booking at 180+10 with our DVC reservation.

I am relatively new to DVC, and this is only our second stay. I didn't have any problems last year when I made ADRs at 180+10 online. When I did a quick search, I found reports of it going back to about May of 2014. Not sure what is going on. I did email DVC to see if they had any info. I haven't received a reply yet.

Just found this thread this morning. I am a DCV member who also had trouble in booking ADRs last Friday morning. I could book the first day only. I called Dining and was able to book my reservations, but it took a lot of time. i didn't have an issue last fall, so this must be a recent issue.

On the 180 day mark what time can I start trying to book reservations is it at midnight or in the morning of the 180 day mark ?
