but couldn't find specifics in search.

Anyway... we are so fortunate to be coming back to FW in Sept. and we will be tent camping again :cool1:

Last November we stayed in the tent on site 1518.... LOVED IT. This year, we are taking my mom and my aunt and we've bought them their own tent. So... we will have a 10 x 14 and a 9 x 13, both cabin style tents... plus our 10 x 13 awning. I know we would never get all that on 1518 (we were tight with just the one tent and awning)... So, am I crazy to think there are sites in the 1500 loop that can accommodate? or should I just ask for loop 2000? Thanks a bunch!!!

I love the 1500 loop but to me the sites in the 2000 loop seem a lot bigger. If you never tent camped in florida in Aug and Sept. I can tell you it is Hot Hot Hot and almost every day there are thunder storms. Hope this helps have a nice trip

When we rode through looking at sites last year.. the ones in 2000 loop did seem much larger, but they were less shady and many of them had standing water around. That loop just didn't appeal to me. I'm thinking one of the outer sites near the canal in 1500 would be large enough? I'm hoping so.

Yes... we have been camping at FW twice before in Sept. We never had any thunderstorms, but it was wonderfully hot so we could swim comfortably late into the evening. This past trip to FW in November was a bit chilly.

Thanks for the info.

There are a variety of site sizes in the 1500 Loop. You could request one of the larger sites and have reservations put a note on your reservation that you will have two tents, etc. Then call the Fort directly about 5 days prior to your arrival to remind them. (I've never stayed in the 2000 Loop; it doesn't seem nearly as nice as 1500.)
