but here goes:rotfl:

if im charging my satnav via my cars cigarette lighter...how much will it run down the battery(if the cars not running)
thanks;)

I'm sure it's not a dumb question Nat, but I haven't got a clue :confused3

I hope someone can help you

Nat ~ Unless your battery was ready to go and needed replaced, charging your Sat Nav will have no ill effects to the battery. I charge mine up all the time and I've never had a bit of bother. Plus the car has always started first time when I jump in it.

Hope this helps.

It also depends on your car as when you switch off the ignition on many cars the power to the lighter is switched off as well.

If you are talking about when you are running the cra, the voltage is very small and won't deplete your battery

Yes, when I turn the ignition off (Vauxall Zafira) my SatNav stops charging :)

i think mine still charges when its off...i will double check:)

thanks for your help everyone

Nat ~ I've found out that if your radio still works when your ignition is switched off then your cigarette lighter will too:)
