Hello All!

I'm taking my first DCL trip (and first cruise) with my BFF this September. We'll be hopping aboard the Disney Dream to the Bahamas and I'm looking for your favorite tips/tricks/recommendations for two gals in their mid 20's (neither of us has had any kids yet, so we're cruising solo).

Example: I read the pro tip of ordering milk+cookies from room service your first night. (sounds like fun!) but I would have never have thought of this on my own. As a former WDW CM, I'm not used to being so out of my depth with any Disney property, so your pro tips would be appreciated!

I suggest booking a day at the Rainforest Room in the spa ahead of time (you can do an advance purchase on the DCL site through "in room gifts and amenities"). It is about $18 after the gratuity per day pass, and passes will appear in your room when you arrive; you just have to show it at the spa to gain access to the Rainforest Room on whatever day you choose. Heated loungers, a view of the ocean, aromatherapy showers, and a variety of saunas. Heavenly!

One of the things we like is to order "All hands on deck" (cheese & crackers) from room service and sit on our veranda having that and a glass of wine in the afternoon.

Thank you! I think we're going to do the 'couples' pass for the length of the cruise to the rainbow room. We had been saving to do massages at sea, but I'm not sure they'd be worth the cost to us, especially since the rainbow room is so much cheaper and we could use it the whole time.

If you drink alcohol, sign up for some of the alcohol tastings. We did the mixology one on the Fantasy, it was a lot of fun. If you do, make sure you eat beforehand, you'll get 5 full size mixed drinks--I had to lay down for a few hours after ours. You'll sign up for them when your on-line booking window opens, 75 days before your cruise. If you think you might get seasick, they have seasickness bags in the restrooms next to the adult clubs. I always get some as soon as we board to keep in our room since they don't put any in there.

You can also get Mickey Ice cream bars from room service--they're not listed on the room service menu though! Remember to tip the room service people.

Enjoy your cruise!

So some of my 25 yo DD's favorite things to do on board:

- Coffee, pastry and a book in Cove Cafe (or in shaded area just outside)
- Anyone Can Cook lessons
- Palo brunch
- mixology or other "tastings"
- late comedian shows in the night club area
- board games available in Promenade or O'Gills
- and of course movies in the movie theater

That is a good option, the Rainforest Room is really relaxing. I hate massages so I would never get one on board or on land, frankly! I think if you buy the length of cruise pass they also give you body scrubs that you can use in the shower / possibly in the sauna.

I am almost 24 years old and there are a ton of things to do for adult best friends. In 2016, I went on a Disney Cruise with my best friend when we were 21 and 22. My best send enjoyed doing the music trivia, walking around the ship and having our own kind of fun which includes acting crazy, laughing, and talking while sitting out on deck. We also enjoyed and getting food to eat out on the open deck. We were on the Disney Wonder so, it the quick service food was on Deck 9.

I would record taking videos of some of the fun things the two of you do because those moments are some of the best. I have one video of my best friend and I being crazy on the cruise and it was one of my favorite memories from the whole cruise.

We liked watching Disney Movies on the Funnel Vision. The Funnel Vision is a big movie screen on the funnel of the ship on the open-air deck in front of the family pool. There are chairs you and your best friend can sit in and enjoy Disney movies.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I hope you have a great cruse.
