Prnicesses, BBB, and every character we can meet!! A March 2011 PTR!

Hello again! My name is Jen and I have been off the Disboards for about a year. I had a lot of drama in my life last year, but this is a new year and things are starting off right! We are going back to Disney in about 6 weeks! This is another last minute trip - I had 4 weeks to plan last year, but more about that later. So I am going to try and combine my PTR and a little bit of a TR from last year.

I love to take pictures, so if I bore you with my writing, hopefully I can keep you interested with some adorable pictures of my little girl.

So, it will be my, my daughter Gianna - who will be 3 1/2 the time of the trip, my mom (Mimi) and my dad (Pop Pop). We are going Macrh 5th through either the 11th or 12th. That will be determined later today. Mimi and Pop Pop are driving and Gianna and I will be flying - which I hate - but I think I would hate the 15 hour drive more.

So this is me, 32 years old, lover of all things Disney. I have been going ever since I was a baby.

She has grown so much since then!

Next there is Mimi - she is great to go to Disney with. Wonderful mom, grandmother and never complains.

And then there is Pop Pop - Disney lover! He would go to Disney every year. He loves everything about it and he is the one who made me love it the way I do. LOVE going to Disney with him!

This trip was a surprise and a sort of Christmas present. My parents told Gianna and I they wanted to take us to Disney in March, but we were going to all stay in the same room to save some cash. It's a free trip for me, so I will not complain one bit! We will be staying at POFQ - which is a first for all of us. We normally stay at Riverside, because it's so hard to get a room in the FQ, but we got lucky this year and are very excited about it!

Now on to a little bit of the TR from last year. My parents wanted to take me, Gianna and my sister and her son to Disney for my mom's birthday. My sister was pregnant at the time and two weeks before we left, she was put on bedrest and they could not come with us. We had a great time, even though there were quite a few meltdowns from my little princess! We went May 1-7. It was HOT. We have been in September before and it seemed just as hot last May. We are used to hot weather, but that doesnt mean we like it. I am hoping this year in March might be a little better.

This was our first day and one of our first rides. You can tell how hot it is already by just looking at Gianna!

G seemed to make this face a lot during our trip. I think we started things off wrong by trying to do too much and not letting her sleep as late as she wanted. We will not make that same mistake this year!

Gianna was just a little too young for the BBB last year. A few months short of her third birthday, but she wanted to do it sooooo bad! Well, we are doing it this year and I might be more excited than she is! I made ressies for March 7th at 3:10. I wanted to make it earlier, but since this is kind of a last minute trip, that was all they had. So I took it! I also made made reservations at Akershus for lunch the next day. CRT was all booked up for the evening she goes to BBB, so again, this was as good as it gets! But I have heard her hair should stay in place for a couple of days, so I am not too worried about it.

Last year I just did her hair myself and she wore her Belle dress to Akershus. She had such a wonderful time! Here are a few pics from our first full day at the World last year. This was actually my mom's birthday.

Even though Gianna had her meltdowns at Disnet last year, one thing I can say is, she was GREAT when all the characters. She didnt mind waiting, didnt get upset when her turn was over. She was perfect with all of them!

Nothing yet, huh? Oh, well. I guess I can do the PTR just for myself!

There has been a change of plans since i first posted this this morning. My parents were originally planning on driving, which I was sad about, but my mom just called me and said they decided to fly with us! Yay! And they decided we should stay until the 12th, so even better news!

This 6 weeks cannot get here fast enough!

Soooo excited!! We booked our planes tickets last night and the price DROPPED $80 from yesterday morning! So glad we waited until last night to get the tickets!

So, I had decided to just do the crown package at BBB for Gianna - I bought her a dress from The Disney Store - but after much thought, I am not overly happy with the dress. It isnt as nice or full as her Belle dress from last year, so I think I am going to upgrade and let her pick a new one once we get there. She loves Ariel and I got her a pink Ariel gown - I will post pics later, but she has said she would really like to be Belle again. i wish I could see pics of the Belle costumes they have right now at BBB!

So the day after we met all the princesses, we went to AK. It was extremely hot again, but G and I had to meet the characters Here are a few pics of our day there.

Fellow Houstonian! We are going March 5-12. I think that is actually Mardi Gras week, so I am hoping not too many spring breakers yet! I would love to go in December. I am hoping to do that next time!
