Yes you can. I believe Chefs de France, Le Cellier and Captain's Grill over at Yacht Club all have a fixed-price menu you can use for one TS credit - people in our party have ordered it at Chefs & Le Cellier, and we saw it on the Capt. Grill menu. You absolutely cannot substitute anything, though...there are a couple or three choices for appetizer, entree and dessert and that's all you're allowed to order. One point: the items allowed typically are the less expensive items on the menu which is why it's allowed as a dining plan option (this way you're not ordering the expensive entrees so the restaurant saves money because they get paid the same whether you order the cheap entree or the expensive entree)
I'm of the opinion that these fixed price menus were implemented specifically to steer dining plan guests into ordering cheaper entrees.
If you look at the fixed price at Le Cellier, if you order the same items with either the chicken or gnocchi entrees, the cost to order them from the fixed price menu is higher than it would be if you ordered the same items a la carte. So the only reason to order these entrees from the fixed price menu is if you are on the dining plan and you want an appetizer.
Used regular DDP for price-fix at Le Chefs last xmas week and also at Captain's Grille, Le Cellier and Kona Cafe. If you like the choices(there are no substitutions) then I think its a great way to get app, entree and dessert(like the original versions of DDP-except gratuity). We are doing it again theis xmas week at Le Cellier and Kona.
