Oh man this has been the worst DCL-resort transfer experience. There must be a better way. They grouped resorts no where near each other. I thought the Magical Express was bad. We waited for 45 min for the bus to fill up. I've been on this bus two hours already. On our fourth resort and no idea when ours is in the line. Awful.

One question, were you in one of the later groups of people getting off the ship?

No we were out by 8 but we must've just missed the early bus. :(
Reason I asked was because the first bunch of busses will typically only go to 3 or less resorts. Later busses have to be filled with groups from more resorts, as they don't send the busses out only 1/2 full in order to keep the "3 or less" thing.

Sorry you got on one that's making all those stops. May be worth an email to DCL when you get home (or now) mentioning about the problem. Maybe even on the comment card at the resort.

We stopped at 4 resorts were on the bus by nine and at Hollywood Studios a bit after noon - our choice we waited for our room to be ready. Our bus left the pier at 9:30 am. I think you were unlucky.

I must've been unlucky too because the same thing happened to us. We waited close to an hour just to leave the port, then stopped at 7 other resorts before ours (no exaggeration, DH counted). We didn't arrive at our resort until after noon.

from the time we got on the bus on our last cruise, till we reached our resort (animal kingdom lodge), it was 2 hours 35 minutes, a ridiculous amount of time. the driver didn't seem to know where he was going, he would miss turn offs to resorts. he did drop offs at 4 resorts and then, after checking his sheet, turned to us and asked where we were going. there was only us and one other family on the bus at that point. not sure where the other family was going but they were another resort completely. i have never experienced this before. we have never had more than three stops. it was a chaotic mess and it was like the driver was new and had no experience at all.
this is the only time that I can remember that we had an issue with dcl transportation.

We had a less than magical Disney transfer experience last year as well. We were loaded onto a small van which already had one family waiting. They had been in there for nearly 30 minutes already. Then we waited another 15 minutes until they got another party of 2 to fill up the last available seats (to make sure that every seat was taken). And then we were treated to a grand tour of the WDW property by going to the Poly first, then Port Orleans Riverside before finally going to our destination: Saratoga Springs. We even passed by our resort twice before finally getting there...

I still saw some value in it as we are always tired and grumpy when we get off the ship and it was nice not having to deal with a rental car shuttle and then driving ourselves.
