look on Timeshare stores resale listings above, pick the lowest price for that DVC, and price accordingly--there is a good chance you will pass ROFR, and it is the right thing to do---also, if WDW exercises ROFR, then you (buyer) can simply look and buy another similarly priced DVC from the Timeshare Store--you are not paying any more than you would have paid your friend.
And if DVC exercises ROFR, then your friend (the seller) is getting the same $ from DVC as he would from you. The only benefit to offering below that price and trying to get around DVC rules is that you (buyer) would be getting a better deal---but it is of no benefit to your friend (he would be getting less than if DVC exercises ROFR). good luck.
