I was just talking to a friend about her friend who works as a nurse in our local hospital. She said that one day the girl got a page while she was with her that sounded different, and the girl said "oh, i'm not at the hospital, I don't need to get that." Turns out that's the special page that tells the nurses to go block the doorways, because someone has taken a baby out of the nursery without authorization. They had to develop this whole barcode/scanner/pager system because it happens that often, women who develop psychosis after losing a baby or who already have 5 or 6 kids and have a pathological need for more, they actually come into the hospital and try to steal someone else's baby. As if there's not enough to worry about. Bleh.
