OK..
Hubby, 2 kiddos, and myself will be heading to WDW in 44 days!!
This trip is celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary, as well as our Christmas Gift to our kids (their first trip)...
I tossed around the idea of renewing our vows on Clearwater beach on our Anniversary and decided against it..

Now I have been contemplating having family photo's taken while we were in FL.. I see that you can hire a Photo Pass photographer for private sessions.. Just wondering if anyone has done this, and or if anyone has good or bad things to say about it..

I was thinking this would would be our "Family Christmas" photo, as well as a way to capture our trip & anniversary....

Alllll Opinions PLEASE!!

THANKS

We just did the photo shoot at the Poly in Sept. We booked the last appointment of the day 7:00 in hopes of having a few extra minutes over the 20 minutes. We arrived at 6:45 and checked in at the Photopass desk. A few minutes later we headed out to the beach with our photographer. There were 9 of us: DH & myself, DD with DSIL, DGD4, DGD2 & DGS3months, and DMIL & DFIL. We started with my daughters family since she wanted family pictures. We wanted to catch the kids before they lost interest.:rotfl: Then we took a lot of other combinations, us with grandkids, all of us together, 4 generations, girls just walking on the beach etc. Our photographer took 111 shots. Granted not all of them were good but the same thing happens in a studio setting. We did get some really good shots and are glad we did it. We did get in before the price increase. I'm not sure if we would do it again at the new price but my DD said she would do it again. We don't have our photopass CD yet or I would post some pics. Most of us wore khaki pants and white shirts, and the kids were in all white.

We did this in Sept at the Grand Floridian. We had a good experience. We did not feel rushed and I wouldn't worry about having enough time. We had two groups paying for two 1/2 sessions but we were all together. We had more than enough time for all different combinations. Most of the pictures were really good. The photographer was good and had good picture direction and seemed to know how to pose everyone. I did use one of the photo for our Christmas cards. ( I am an early bird and will get started addressing envelopes soon). If you had already planned on getting the photopass CD it is well worth the money.

How much does this cost, assuming you've already signed up for the PhotoPass CD?

We've done this.....see my signature photo. A 1 hour photo session was like $300 for the photographer. The characters (1/2 hour), character handler, event coordinator, photographer, all proofs in 4x6 (turned out to be 105), 1 album binder with some of those proofs in it and an 8x10 came to something like $3200 in 2006. Additional photo packages were extra. My original contact was convuleted....Disney Weddings...florist....photography....event coordinator. It was a thrilling experience.
