That's awesome! I tried to do a specialty event for my honeymoon in 2014, similar to your TOT dessert party, but they wouldn't even talk to me because I didn't have 10 people, even though I offered to pay for 10.

So, they just started doing this thing where now they don't care how many people you have, as long as you spend at least $1,000. You should be good to go for your vow renewal!

Lurkyloo, thanks for the link to your blog. My wife and I have been talking about doing a vow renewal at ToT. We still have 5 years until our 20th anniversary but were never sure this was really an option. Now we just have to hope that nothing major changes at ToT for the next 5 years.

I hope nothing major changes there too.... Surely ripping out Universe of Energy will be enough to satisfy Disney's Guardians-of-the-Galaxy mania!

Oh, and tips for working with Disney Event Group: If you're still working with your sales consultant, you'll get more specific detail from your event planner when you get handed off. If you're already working with your event planner, try CCing his/her assistant on every email—sometimes they're better at responding. Numbered lists/bullet points help too.

My husband attended a conference a couple years ago and they had a dinner in the China Pavilion at World Showcase, the dinner was actually in the lobby area where you go into see the circle vision movie. Everyone was brought into Epcot thru a back entrance via vans from the resort, and then they had dinner there in the China Pavilion room, and then they were escorted to a private area for a desert party and to see Iluminations.
