"Private Message"

I want to send someone on the DISboards a private message or e-mail but don't know how. Can someone please tell me how to do this?

Sure. Left click on the person's name. A menu will drop down and click on "Send private message". Hope this was explained well enough. If not, ask a more specific question and I'll attempt to help you further.

What I want to do is send a member a message on her compleated TR and the thread is closed. When I click on the name it pops up with 2 choices(view public profile or find more posts). So I'm still not able to get a message out.

Find another post of hers on a non-closed thread. Then click on her name and the list to send her a PM should come up.

She could have her PM privileges suspended if she's the reason the thread was closed. You'd have to wait till she gets them back again.

If you are still up, click on my name and send me a PM. I'll send you a PM back.

I have never had that happen before. You can try clicking on "Your Notifications" in the upper right corner of your screen (in the box with Welcome, WeLUvDiz in it). From there you should have the option to send private messages and after clicking on that can type in the name you want to message. My best guess (and it is only a guess) is that if you still cannot send one that way, perhaps the person is no longer registered here

It's possible that with your low post count you are not allowed to PM yet.

If you did a Search for her thread, sometimes the Search brings you to a non-logged on screen. Not sure how that happens. But, yes, it can drive you crazy until you figure it out.

The DIS goes over the whole world and when you go to sleep we rise and shine for the rest of the day.
