Which would you reccomend? The private WP fireworks are $2500 how much does it cost to have a dessert party roughly for 50 people? Also, could you have an afternoon ceremony, a ballroom "traditonal" kind of reception, and a dessert party? Would that be very rushed or do-able?? Does this make any sense??

I kinda have the same question too! I would like to know if anyone has done the private firework show at the WP. I haven't heard of anyone having it. And i was wondering if I could have a small dessert party at the WP with our private firework show.

Does anyone if this is possible?

Depending on the package you went with and the location, you could have the Illuminations dessert party for $2200 including tax and gratuity. That is based on a viewing fee of $12.50 per person and a food/beverage cost of $20 per person. Then multiplied by 50 guests. I added another $100 and change to cover your Epcot guide/host.

I would choose the Illuminations party because you have more bang for your buck, so to speak. You and your guests have a private little area in the park to enjoy some goodies for about 45 minutes and the 15-minute show of music, lights, and fireworks. You have a better chance of getting memorable photos of you and your groom here as well, I would think. Though photos in the dark aren't that easy, any good professional photographer should be able to get at least a few nice shots to capture the moment. I would be worried about only getting one shot at getting the photo if you did private WP fireworks. I am not sure how many fireworks they set off, but I can assure you it is not many for that price - fireworks are VERY expensive. Also, if you did the private fireworks - would you have an evening ceremony?

As to your time line - we had a 2 pm WP ceremony, 3 pm cocktail hour, and 4 pm reception with dinner. A few minutes before 8 pm, our Epcot guide came for us and escorted us to Epcot. The buses can go backstage and pull up right behind the World Showcase. Then you enjoy your dessert party from 8:15 on. Okay, I just realized that IL may not be at 9pm when you have your wedding. But if it is at 9, it should be perfect timing!

Just try not to stuff your guests too silly at the reception, so that they'll still want to try a treat or two!

Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions for me. :wizard:

our illuminations dessert party costed about $2100 for us & 50 guests at uk lower with the child in you dessert & a few extras milk & strawberries this past march. i cant say about the private fireworks at wp but i can say that the illuminations dessert party is just awesome! it was such a nice way to end the evening, created great photos & wow-ed our family. our ceremony was at 1pm, prereception at 2pm, reception, dinner & dancing 4-8:15 & then the dessert party at 8:45pm.

Thanks for the advice.. you were very helpful and good with your math skills! That is cheaper than the privatefirework show.

Is the Illumination desert party kind of private or are there many people around?

So you did have time for dancing and the "traditional" stuff then? The more i hear about these desserts parties the more I want to add one when the time comes :) And Btw twojo21, i love that pic you posted what a pretty view!

our dessert party was private we had the whole lower uk to ourselves. disney has the area roped off & no one was near us at all, disney also had staff all around the uk with red flashing lights, felt very vip.

cinderella16 we had enough time for all the typical reception stuff toasts, dinner, dancing, garter & bouquet toss, cake, etc. although i wish our wedding day lasted forever, it was amazing from beginning to end.

the $2100 did include transportation which was a private friendship boat from the the yacht club to epcot international gateway, it was so cool.

I've heard talk of set up fees and site rental fees now. I would not not want the Child in You package -- I'd want a little more. I know the menus are listed on another thread right now. I am just concerned how much the DP would cost me for about 60 people. And if you get your guests to have Epcot admissions for that day, then no viewing fees. (But obviously not if it's for your wedding reception!) Is 2k a reasonable amount, or will that not happen? Alright I'm going to look at those menus again and try to crunch some numbers right now.

edited to add: Two more questions...
1. I see that the menu says "based on one hour of service." Is that long enough to stay for all of Illuminations?
2. What sites are offered for groups of 50-60ish?
