I would love to know and seriously its a shame that they close one of the most hard to get and popular places for what????? How much does it take to close the castle?

I think the California Grill closing thread said that closing was in July, not September.

If it was the First Family, I think security would be a little more tight and OP wouldn't have her BBB reservation nor would I have my Crystal Palace 8:05 ADR.

I wouldn't doubt if it was Make a Wish.

It's probably better that way. It would take WAY too long for Secret Service to dig through my bag of costumes for the day and clear us to go in......

MAW makes the most sense to me.

A lady I used to go to church with mentioned once that they were attending a MAW reunion of some sort.

For some reason I was thinking she said it was @ Disney, but I could be wrong.
That was a number of years back and the old noodle just don't work like it used to!!

But maybe they do hold an annual reunion or something like that for any recipients who want to attend?

I WISH! OMG I still love them despite the recent wackiness. I am a Jon & Kate plus 8 fan from the first episode on Discovery Health!

But the twins will be in 3rd grade and the 'tups in Kindergarten so I don't see Kate taking them out of school to visit WDW this year, with the beginning of K. Maybe next year

I too can think of no more noble reason to give over Chef Mickey's OR CRT (which is the one we were discussing here) than for MAW.

But until we have more than guesses, I'd still like to hear what everyone thinks on the matter!

My first thought was that is was reserved for Hannah Montana. Didn't she have a couple of birthday parties at Disney last year?
I'm hoping it's for the Make a Wish kids, awww that's wonderful!

Moving this over to the Rumors board. Though it's confirmed that CRT is closed for a special event those mornings, so long as we're looking for wildly entertaining theories, it's better suited to Rumors. (where you'll find tons of entertaining theories )

Another thread reports that Cali grill is shut down for two nights in the same period. Suspicion is a visit from Washington.

So whoever it is isn't going to be there on Friday. It'll be interesting to see who it is. I leave the 28th at 2pm so I probably won't be affected.

Well, they moved us to the rumor board, which I sort of understand, but wish they hadn't. People wondering why they can't get their ADR's for 9/28 and 9/29 breakfast at CRT probably won't be checking the rumor board....

I still am hoping to stumble across someone who is involved in this private event, or knows someone involved so we can confirm what it is instead of guessing.....

The wildly entertaining guesses were just supposed to be for sheer entertainment along the way while waiting for an answer to show up......

I've been to private events at:
1-Hoop de Do-had the whole place
2-Planet Hollywood-had the whole upstairs one evening
3-Universal Studios-had the whole place after 7pm in Feb for a wowser party/buffets and 4 rides only our "group" got to ride-it was AMAZING!

It happens ALL the time
