Hi,

About six months ago I came across a thread in the weddings section that told of getting a private dining dealio set-up at the Grand. It was for an outside table with one server dedicated to you, and this table was set-up someplace either exclusive or private, and you could arrange to have dinner during the fireworks.

I made a note of it and even book-marked the given menus.

Now, I can't seem to find any info on 1) if this still exists and 2) what phone number to use.

Any ideas or have I just lost my cotton-pickin' mind?

Thanks!

Here is the number for GF private dining. I don't know if this helps or not, but maybe you can explain to them what it is you want.

GF Private Dining 407-824-2578, 407-824-2474

My DH and I booked a private dining dinner at the GF and were offered the 3rd floor overlook. We were able to choose anything we wanted to eat and had the private butler. The food and service were wonderful - the location was not. The 3rd floor overlook is not private at all - it is like sitting in a hallway. If you can afford to book the Grand 1 for your private dinner I am sure it is very nice and very private.

I tried to book an outdoor location like I had heard about previously on this board....no luck. The only options were that 3rd floor thingy and the yacht...which was just too big for my idea.

Yes, it is still available. We did it, set up in the convention center, small private room. Just be careful when choosing your menu, they left quite a few things out of our dinner, the important food items that raised the price of my menu.

A few months back I booked it for our anniversary dinner on Oct 26th. I was told it is a semi private area so I'm assuming it's that 3rd floor overlook everyone is talking about but I still love the idea. :cool1:

The number I called was 407-824-2578 and left a message and got a call back and I've been dealing with a woman named Linda.

Good luck!

How much does it cost? I realize is depends on what you order but what about the general service charges? This sounds like a very romantic thing to do!

The e-mail they sent me says it starts at $75 per person, plus 18% gratuity, 6.5 tax and a $75 butler fee. I'm assuming it's going to cost us around $300 for the night. They include a bottle of wine and I believe a cake or dessert at the end of the meal. The person I spoke with said that they are doing MNSSHP that night and they will be doing the Hallowishes fireworks at 9:30 so our ressie is for approx 8pm so that we can have dessert coincide with the fireworks. The butler meets you in the lobby by the grand piano and you have him for yourself for the night and they asked me what me and my DH eat because they do a personalized menu.

Can't wait! :cool1:

Okay, yes! This is exactly what I was looking for.

But the location kinds scares me. I was planning on the $300 so I'm good there.

It is really in the open? Anyone have pictures?

Oh, is the overlook inside or outside? I'm trying to figure out where it is, exactly.

I asked her what the dress code was and she said we could dress any way we wished but to remember that we will be outside. I'm assuming it's a balcony outside over looking the castle because you are supposed to be able to see the fireworks. I found the idea on mouseweddings.com. When I called and left a message, Linda called me back and then sent me an e-mail with the info. I told her what I wanted and when and she e-mailed me back and said she reserved the spot for me. The web site said they will do private dinners around the resort, so I'm not sure if they only offer you certain places or if you have to ask if you don't want the balcony. I took what they offered me because that's exactly what I was looking for. :)

My DH still thinks we are having dinner that night at Bistro de Paris :rolleyes1 this will be a surprise the morning of our anniversary.
