Can someone explain the Priority seating for hotel guests? Are advanced ressies required, or do they just ask if you're staying @ any of the hotels @ the host stand?

Just show your room key when arriving for dinner. No need for reservations. Priority seating isn't offered at Emeril's; and wasn't offered at Bubba Gump's when we visited there a couple years ago. Although seating is usually pretty quick, we have had to wait between 30 minutes to an hour when the normal wait was over an hour. I've also heard where some people have been told that priority seating isn't allowed on some busy weekends, although I haven't personally experienced this.

My advice is to stop by the hotel's concierge desk when you arrive and verify if there are any restriction on restaurant priority seating when you arrive.

If the restaurant you want to go to does NOT take reservations, just show your on-site hotel room card and you are put at the top of the wait list.

I know Mythos at IOA and Emeril's at CityWalk take reservations.

If there is 6 in your party and only 5 have room keys, can you still use the priority seating?

I still recommend going for a reservation if they take them. Last year we stayed the end of June, 1st of July and that morning tried to get reservations at Margarittaville and had a hard time getting tables set up. Now we had a party of 12 so made it a little harder. When we got there they almost turned us away, even with a reservation....now I was 6 months pregnant so not a good thing to have an upset pregnant person :) They finally found us a table upstairs and we were good to go!

Just made my reservations for Character breakfast, Mylos, Finnegans, NBA and Margaritaville for my trip at the end of Aug. Was told that it was recommended this year due to the opening of Harry Potter so I went for it.

That's an excellent point! :thumbsup2
