I don't know if this is the norm or not, but on our Cruise last fall, on
Castaway Cay Day, it seemed to be that the first in line to go ashore was chosen as "Family of the Day on Castaway Cay". My Family was first in line, actually we were there so early we were the only ones in line. The Head of Security came out and asked my boys if they would like to be "Special Security officers for the Day" and if our family would like to be "The first Family on Castaway Cay" that day. My boys had fun, passing stuff through the scanner (fake bags with stuff in them), they then got to radio up to the bridge to ask for permission to go ashore. We had the whole island to ourselves for about 15 minutes before other passengers came ashore. It allowed us to pick ANY spot we wanted on the beach! They had photographer there taking pictures, so I think this is a standard Magical Moment offered to the first in line. Head of Security, later delivered to our room two Special Moments Certificates and a 6x8 photo that was taken of the boys as Special Security Officers.
