I am flying to WDW 8/31 and returning 9/5. I am leaning towards AirTran. I will be using ME and staying at Pop. My question is, can I get a boarding pass printed out at Pop (or some other convenient location) on my return day (well the night before). I can handle my own luggage, I just wondered if I could get the boarding pass printed.

Wow! You are quick! There's no concierge at Pop - do you mean at Guest Services? I stayed there in December and used JetBlue so I was able to get the whole deal through ME, and the boarding passes were printed out at bell services, but of course AirTran is not a participating airline.

We stayed at Pop last year and I was able to get my boarding passes for Southwest printed at Guest Services.

My understanding is that they can do it for you but will not chose your seats. I know they wouldn't at CR or the Poly. Since we wanted to choose our seats 24 hours in advance we just went to the business center at CR once and the GF another time and did this. If Pop doesn't choose your seats then you can go to a business center and do it yourself. There is no charge for the computer or printing.

It depends on who is working at the business center then. I was charged $1 per page to print my boarding passes at CR business center. They did not charge me for the Internet time.

They are not supposed to charge you for using the internet for getting your boarding passes and printing them. It shouldn't be for depending on who you get. It is the way it is. If they try to charge anyone then I would ask to speak to the manager. I've done it over 20 times and have always been told it is free.

According to my flight confirmations, our seats are assigned. So if we get our boarding passes at POP will the seat thing be an issue?

Actually it is NOT supposed to be free, but most business center CM's have been letting it slide. The official policy is that if you use the computers, you pay for the use. Speaking to a manager isn't going to make any difference, if anything it will reinforce the policy.

I don't think so. To the best of my knowledge, the seat issue only comes into play on AirTran for passengers who book the lowest, you-can't-choose-your-seat-in-advance fare. Usually those passengers can select their seats when they check in online, but apparently not if the check in is being done by Lobby Concierge.

Wow. I guess the managers at the GF and the CR are wrong. They have always told me that it is a courtesy for any WDW resort guests to use the computer and printer for FREE for plane tickets only. Anything else will cost you but that service is indeed free. Just speaking from experience.

I'm just letting you know what's been told to me and others at the GF, BWI, and YC. The only FREE airline check-in is supposed to be done by the Guest Services and concierge CM's. At the BWI I saw someone turned away for free check-in because there were people waiting to use the computers as paying customers.
