Printing Boarding Passes for Southwest Airlines

I am still hoping for a return to luxury flying.

Not exactly sure what you mean by your statement of "what does this say about this country" ? Personally, I don't need "luxury" for a 2 1/2 hour flight each way. When I make my 2-3 trips to WDW every year, I prefer "easy on the budget" carriers :thumbsup2
If I were flying further---like to the west coast or something like that, I'd probably prefer a major carrier, but not even sure then. I've seen some pretty nice DING fares from Philly to LA that would make me want to go with them.

We had our return boarding passes printed with the BCV front desk. I am now wondering if that's why we faced such a delay upon boarding. My Dh uses a WC all the way to the plane entrance. When we arrived at the checkin desk, we were told the boarding pass & other info was incorrect & would have to be done over. It toook a bit of time, but not too much!

I am still hoping for a return to luxury flying. I feel things will come around full circle eventually. Lining up like cattle for boarding and seats so close you are eating your knees can't be what Americans want. At least I hope not.

It says we value good service and cheap prices. Nothing wrong with that in my book. Note that people have always waited in lines to get on planes - at least for SW the lines are civilized (usually). And note that you've got more seatroom on SW than you did in the says of "luxury flying."

We love Southwest's consistent service. I've never had a schedule change in the past 10 years with Southwest. We used to fly US Airways and there would be at least one schedule change after purchasing tickets and often two or three. Southwest's great service is far superior to the grumpy flight attendants we have to put up with on other airlines.

Everyone please fly Southwest. It will clear some room on a real carrier without sloppy, ungroomed employees cracking horible jokes. Jim Belushi is a funny guy in an unmade bed sort of way, doesn't mean I want him as a FA.

I'll take grumpy and professional over those slobs anyday. Sorry, if you just moved to this country and your first flight was on SWA you would never fly again.

Stop hyping up SWA, they will be bankrupt in 4 years, archive this post. Anyone else posts a good review of SWA and I'll type those two little words that keep SWA executives awake at night. :teeth:

They have? :confused3 :confused3 I've never waited in line. I board at my leasure without fear of not sitting with my party.

Civilized lines? :confused3 Is that what they call all of those people camped out, sleeping on the floor to ensure a seat with their loved ones?

I can respect someone saying "I'm broke and I need to book the cheapest flight to Orlando." Anything else seems like rationalizing. If it so good then why do they HAVE TO sell it so cheap? The glwing reviews I hear on this board you'd think it was first class service with Filet Mignon being served. Must be some mighty good drugs they are slipping everyone in the pretzels. :rotfl:

Beauty is, you won't see Dumbo on those cattle flights at any price. One more seat for the masses to fight over.

A friend of mine just returned from an east coast flight to Vegas on SWA. He called it "the dumbest thing he has ever done" and stated "never again." :sad2: All to save a few bucks.

Enjoy your day in the sun SWA, things are a changin. : :wave2:

Oh my Dumbo. Is it safe to assume that you don't care for SWA? :confused3

Well this low-life likes SWA. I like the lame jokes, the laid back style and the low prices. Yup, I'm a low life! :rotfl2:

Sorry dumbo71 you don't seem to like it that many people love Southwest.

Southwest is in business, successful and making a profit because people like their consistent service, their quality, their professional treatment of passengers without the back talk and poor attitudes that many other airline flight attendants display. You may have experienced otherwise, but for me Southwest is consistently far superior to any of the US airlines I have flown. They have their flaws, but overall I appreciate their fresh approach to airline transportation.

I do not feel the need to belittle the opinions of those are different than mine. I appreciate your opinion, but disagree with your approach to others opinions.

Will the DVC Resorts in particular, SSR print up boarding passes for me at the 24 hour mark before my flight. I booked with Southwest because of the great price and didn't realize they don't offer assigned seating and you need these silly A,B Boarding passes for the best chance for better seats. Stupid, Stupid Me!! Never again, lesson learned. Hopefully front desk can print out these out for me the day before departure so we can sit together. I am thinking of just booking with spirit and eating this airfare but it is over Easter and spirit prices are outragous now.
The last time I was at Boardwalk Villas, they were able to print the boarding pass for my Southwest flight. the best time to have them printed is 24 hours before your flight, so that way, you can have "A" seating preference.

Well dumbo, you have your opinion. Obviously SW doesn't need your business anyway, since as you mentioned they are #1 carrier in the US. So they must be doing something right.
As for them going bankrupt----what, like some of the major carriers have done in the past ? I've had awful service with US Air. Delays, waiting for luggage for HOURS in the airport (and yep....lots of us were sitting on the floor because we were exhausted and it was like 11 pm), lost luggage on Northwest.......can honestly say we've never had a problem with SW.
And I don't think people fly SW because , as you said, they're "broke" :rotfl: Some of us would just rather spend our money on other things that we deem important. My flights on SW have been terrific. Service with a smile----they have been some of my more enjoyable flights. Luckily there are plenty of major carriers you can use since you're so unsatisfied with them. So you think whatever you like about SW dumbo......fine with us :thumbsup2

We use SouthWest on our last trip in Nov. and were also anxious about the open seating as we are a family of 5. You can use the guest services in any of the parks to check in and print out your bording passes. They were very helpful. So if you are in any of the parks 24 hrs prior to departure, use the parks, or DTD guest services. :cool1:

Fair is fair dumbo. You did warn us. ;)
Honestly, I have heard good things about Jet Blue. They do not fly out of Philly International though. So, until they do, and until I can find better than SW, it's SW for me. :thumbsup2

Jet Blue has come on line here at RDU. Tell me, what does Jet Blue do so well that it provokes your response about SWA?

I would like to have another good airline to fly. I hope JB has the specials that SWA has.

Listen, I'm all for saving money but not at the expense of my families comfort. Jet blue pre-books categories of seats and they are very comfortable. Tons of leg room and video screens in the seat backs. Service is great AND the prices are cheap.
