Has anyone requested the front desk at the Beach Club to print your Southwest boarding pass for you at 12:01. Was hoping this is something that they will do,
We had our printed out no problems at Pop last December. The CM at check in told me to just come down after 12pm the day we were leaving and I would be able to use the computer in some little room, but when I did go down the CM that was there knew nothing about this room and told me he couldn't allow me to use the computer but he would be happy to print them for me. Thanks I said and in no time I had my boarding passes!
Last month we had ours printed out at POFQ front desk in the morning...we didn't worry about going down there after midnight, and got "A" boarding passes, no problem.
I had some boarding passes and seats chosen for us at the Beach Club Lobby Concierge which is to left as you enter the lobby. I don't know about the midnight thing - we were on Airtran.
Yes. Stayed at WL 8/04. Southwest Airlines. I asked at front desk the day before, I was told "no problem, the night manager knows what to do". So at 12:01 A.M., I went down to the front desk and asked the cm that was there to print them. She looked at me like I had 2 heads or something, so I asked her to talk to the night manager. She came back and said, "Yeah, go write down the flight numbers and bring them back". I handed her the paper I had in my hand with the flight numbers on it, she took it in the back. She came back 5 minutes later with 2 boarding passes, number 001 & 002. Couldn't have went smoother. Though it would have been a nightmare if I didn't talk to that cm earlier, I guess I got lucky.
This question may be more appropriate for the Transportation board, but is there a benefit to pre-printing your Southwest boarding passes if you have children under age 4 and can pre-board?
On our last trip, we checked in with the skycap at the Orlando airport curb, and I believe we got our boarding passes there. Since I'll have to check my luggage anyway, is there any advantage to pre-printing our boarding passes?
We stayed at AKL in Dec 04, front desk did SW boarding passes at 1205 am no problem. The CM said most night CMs know how to do it. He did say some web sites were blocked on the CM terminals but not SW. If you have children under 4 and are on SWA and are preboarding it doesn't really matter what "letter" you get. This does help those of us with older kids get A group.

For us, it wasn't the issue of boarding, it was checking in. Some people in the security line were running very late from standing in the SW checkin line. I was shocked at the SW line!!! But since you have to check bags, I'm not sure there would be an advantage to printing ahead of time.
If you're checking luggage, you don't have to print out your boarding pass. If you go to the website after midnite, you can get your letter assignment. Then when you get to the airport to check your bags, they can print out your BP for you. We've done this a couple times. I was seriously bumming when our youngest turned 5 and we could no longer preboard.
OKW printed our boarding passes for us yesterday morning -- I decided to get a good night's sleep and went to the front desk about 7 a.m. Still got A, 19 & 20.
SW was a nightmare yesterday inside, but only took me about 5 minutes to check our bags outside, even with a line of aout 10 people. DH waited in the rental and we returned it after checking the bags which saved us a lot of bag lugging time!

While SWA does usually try to allow preboarding for families with children under 5, it is not a guaranteed thing like it is for someone needing assistance or extra time. So, it's a good idea to still get "good" boarding passes in case most of the flight have small children and SWA decides that they won't use that prerequisite for preboard.
Coming home in Jan, there were so many of us with small kids, they still let us in the preboard aisle, but went back and forth between the preboards and "A" passes instead of letting all the preboards with kids go first. It made it less congested with parents and strollers at the plane. Not sure I'd worry about going down at 12:01 AM, but maybe doing it in the morning when you get up.
