printer ink cartridges?

Not sure about the HP cartridges. But I have a Brother printer now. And the ink was about $35 per cartridge at Staples. I decided to look into refilled cartridges. I ordered through Simply Ink, through Mypoints. I think they offer like a 300 point bonus for orders with Simply Ink. And the refilled cartridges cost $5 each. And then recently Staples started accepting any brand of ink cartridge for the $3 back in Staples rewards (they mail you a check quarterly) and so I figure my ink costs me about $2 each. Not too bad.

I order my ink from supermediastore.com

I am signed up for the newsletter and I get deals emailed to me once or twice a week. I have an epson printer. Mine takes 5 or 6 cartridges and they cost about $15 each. When they run their deals I can usually get enough for two refills for about $45. Sometimes with free shipping. I usually buy my blank media from them also, they usually have a deal on taiyo yuden dvd's which are hard to come by for me.

I get mine from 123inkjet.com, Normally for a color and a black and white it would cost about $60, I use their brand and they are like $7 each! It gives a little notice that it is not printer company recommended, but I haven't had any problems whatsoever.

I used to be able to buy remanufactured catridges from Walmart but I guess they don't sell them anymore. Is the only way to buy them online?

I order compatible ones off Ebay and have always paid very cheap prices and never had a problem.
I have a Brother MFC-685CW that I use for my business and I do ALOT (and I mean ALOT!!!) of printing. I usually buy 2 sets at a time (2 black and 1 of each color per set) for maybe $20 or so with shipping. Works out to about $2/cartridge and have never had a problem.

supermediastore's are remanufactured. They also offer the "untested" ones. I've been buying from them for close to 5 years, never had a problem, either with the ink or the store. <knock on wood>

Someone mentioned before and I completely forgot about it but a continuous ink system. Those require some money upfront but if you are doing a lot of printing, it can be very cost effective.

COSTCO has good prices on the limited variety of cartridges they stock. costco.com has excellent prices and has an OEM cartridge for almost any printer made. Costco's price for an OEM brother laser cartridge was cheaper than a remanufactured cartridge from almost any other vendor I checked.

Every review I've read indicates third party cartridges are never as good (color quality) as OEM.

I have a Lexmark printer and I buy mine on EBAY. I have never had a problem.
Be careful with what you do if you have a warranty in effect- it can cancel the warranty if you use other brands or refill.

We get our Epson ink at Sam's Club, I think a package of 3 colors and 2 black cartridges ran about $40, and it keeps our warranty valid.

I just took my old one to Walgreens and got it refilled for $12.99. It took about 15 minutes.

I took mine to Walgreens last night. In this weeks ad there is a coupon for $3 off. Plus the clerk told me to always ask b/c sometimes they run unadvertised specials on the refills. She said to say "do you still have that coupon available?"

is there any cheaper way to get them than getting them at walmart or target that anyone has found? i have an HP printer. thanks.

I was going to Cartridge World for about $9, and now the Lexmark 70 will not refill. The tech there said it is happening alot, the dynamics to allow refill are being cheapend, to not allow refill. I did find a small cartridge at Office Max for $14, and I think a double pack at Walmart was less.

My Dell still would refill, but I do not think that it held much ink.
:surfweb:

Where do you return the empty cartridges at Staples? I have 8 sitting in a drawer that I didn't know what to do with. TIA
