I've been looking for new fundraising ideas for my sorority chapter. We are small at 7 members, so we like fundraisers that require our time and not a huge investment of money. On fundraisinghelp.com, I learned a little about printer cartidge recycling. We would make arrangements with businesses and leave bins for used cartidges. Then we would periodically make pick-ups and turn them over to a company for recycling. Depending on the cartidge, we could net between $.25 and $3 per cartidge. I even found a company that will buy them and give you free shipping.

Has anyone else done this as a fundraiser? Is it as easy as it sounds?

If you have done it, may I PM you with some questions?

Thanks!

I didn't know that this could be done as a fundraiser. I wish someone would do that in my area. I get tired of having to mail my huge HP cartridges back.

our school does this as a fundraiser, but I do not know anything about it except that the place they were using was taking them their sweet time to mail them the $$$.

Sorry that is all I know about it. Good Luck

I too was going to say that some schools run that same program to raise money....

Katholyn, if you don't want to mail back the cartridges, contact schools in your neighborhood & see if they use that fundraising program....if so, I'm sure they'd be happy to have you drop your cartridges off at the school!

You can take them to Office Depot and they will give you a free package of paper for every empty cartidge. They just won't take any canon or epison cartidge but they will take all the others.''

Hope you all have Office Depots

Sarah

A pack of paper?

I'll contact them about it.

I don't know anything about it, but my youngest DS's school does this as a fund raiser. They made quite a bit of $$ last year with it.

you can also recycle printer cartriages for free. I picked up a bunch of printer recycle things at walmart near printer cartiages. I just put empty cart. in sleeve and put in mail box. No added cost to me and I'm helping enviroment. I have also picked up recycle things at Post office and office supply stores. I guess I should really just turn them in and get free paper LOL.
