When looking for my iron-on transfer papers, I came across Avery Printable Fabric. I am printing off a project as I type. Has anyone used this before?
I was going to try it with the wonderful DISigns that a few of you have done for me, but I had a more urgent need come up.

(this is where I wander a little OT) I am putting photos on a tote bag for a dear relative who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. I was going to do a hat, but I wasn't sure it would work on a hat. I went ahead and made her some goofy & silly hats as requested but I thought I would make a matching bag to carry stuff with her to chemo, and keep her family with her in photos at the same time.

I am expecting to let it dry until tomorrow morning anyways so if anyone has any tips I would appreciate it. Otherwise, I will post my findings back here. The directions indicate you can iron it on to fabric as well so I may try that.

TIA
Donna

I used some of this when I made my daughter's overalls last year. It looks great and I made Beauty and the Beast characters to put all over her overalls. It faded when I washed it and I don't think I would use them again. My printer kept jamming so it took some playing with to get it to print, but I did get them printed.

I think it would work on a tote bag, that is not something that is likely to get washed much uniless it gets dirty.

Update -

The photos I used look great. The instructions call for heat setting the ink once fully dry - this can also be used to iron it on to something else. I have put photos on a tote bag & it looks great so far (must finish the bag first)

I have one small graphic I did as well - so I can put it on a scrap of knit & try washing & what not as if it were a T-shirt.

If anyone is interested, let me know & I will continue to update - it will be later this week before I have time to continue. Otherwise, I will continue on with my projects no worries! :goodvibes

I was wondering about the fading prospect - I have had bad luck with the iron ons cracking & coming off too - I don't know which is worse but I do know which will be more $$!

Hmmm...I saw some treat bags for MNSSHP that gave me some ideas! :thumbsup2
