Print at home or Staples/Kinkos?

What is the cheapest and/or best way to print your graphics you use for things other than iron-ons for t-shirts? I have some images that I am going to use on magnets and window decorations and I am hoping to gain some input from you who have been there and done that as to what's the best way to print them?

My worry is that I will be using up too much of the color printer cartridge at home and it will be more cost effective to have Staples or Kinkos print the images for me. What are your thoughts? How have you done it previously that worked best for you?

Transfers have to be printed at home...the big machines that companies use to make copies at stores use heat and it ruins the transfers.

Also, most big print companies will not print disney images. Because of copyright laws...you can't make money off of disney images. You may come across an employee that doesn't know not to print them...but most will not as they have been well trained to not print disney images. These companies will bind the images for you if you print them at home. There have been a few people on the Boards that have taken them to Staples (etc.) and had them printed...but more often than not you won't find one that will.

The only way around that is to have your autograph pages, restaurant/special event invitations, and welcome letters saved as jpegs and then you can have them printed in either a 4x6 or 5x7 format at a photo shop. It is a lot cheaper to have them printed this way than printed at home. I haven't heard of anyone not being able to have them printed this way.

So for everything else...like transfers, candy wrappers, etc...you will have to print at home.
