Princess Weekend 2020

Work is pressing it's luck today with rudeness and ungrateful people... come on Disney magic and cheer me up.

On another note, I just have to say how nice it is to see how supportive and helpful everyone on here is. I am only doing the 5k and getting more nervous by the day but know I will be in amazing company. :)
A 5K is a big deal, too! I have to agree- I'm participating in these by myself and it's so nice to see the support from everyone! I've read such great things about the cheering and support you get on race day too!

You should also note that the balloon ladies are incredibly friendly! They are so lovely and they want you to finish. If they pass you; you do not get (immediately) eliminated.... they passed me several times while I was waiting for characters. You will have time to catch up; the only time you might seriously get swept is on the half marathon if you are still struggling to run when the need to start re-opening highway routes.

I remember last year during the 10km there were about a hundred people in line waiting to meet Aurora and Prince Philip at the very end; but because we were already in Epcot we couldn't be eliminated. The cast members were just saying that the race is over and that we really need to get to the finish line.... but we all got our photo and we all got our medal! :lovestruc

Thank you so much!! Thats a bit of relief! Hopefully I'll have a little buffer, but I am a bit worried I'll be placed in the last corral. When I registered I selected the time for the 14-16 min pace. When will we find out that information about corral placement?

When the race waivers are released (hopefully any day here!) your bib number will be on it. That will help with corral placement for the Half Marathon or Fairy Tale Challenge. For the 5K and 10K, you will find out your corral when you pick up your bib and see it printed on it. Even if you are placed in the last corral, they release the corrals in "mini waves" - if you get to the corral early you can be in that first wave of the last corral and still have a bit of a buffer since the balloon ladies will be the last people to cross the start.

Disney had changed their registration system since I last ran a race. where are our waivers these days? Somewhere in the account with our registrations? I know they aren't out yet (I told you.. my fault).. but just curious

Still trackshack, at least as of marathon weekend. I'm constantly refreshing what I think is the link on my work computer, but still no dice.

Did y'all see the Moana costume Facebook post from runDisney yesterday? Within the first 5 minutes there were about 10 comments to the tune of "this is great, but where's our event guide and waivers?" "we all definitely have costumes by now...event guide!?!?". I went back to show DH and they were all gone (deleted, hidden, who knows). Very suspicious. Disney knows we want them!!

I finally got hit with a cold that has been lingering all week. I don't want to be sick and it to impact my last bit of training. I know I should rest and not push through it but I want to. I've already got the vitamin c going this morning. Ugh. So frustrating!

just think, better now then in 3 weeks!

I don't remember if I've mentioned this here, but Princess Weekend back in 2015 was my first runDisney weekend (and my first 5K) and I loved it, so I'm super excited to see how many first-time runDisney participants we have here. I hope you all fall in love with the weekend and with runDisney!

2015 Princess Weekend was my first runDisney event too and what got me into running! Its such a magical time. I can't wait to be back! It's definitely exciting to see all the first timers...

@SarahDisney I'm not sure if this is the link you've been using - https://track.rtrt.me/e/WDW-PRIN-2020#/tracker - someone posted it on facebook. It's the sign up for runner tracking. It does show my bib number, but only shows my registration for the challenge, not the 5K so now I'm nervous. I'm trying not to be, given I can see both registrations in my account and they could just be loading things? But.. I can see my bib number... So.. Soon?!

You can't track the 5K because it is untimed.
