Has anyone taken their daughter to the new Princess Tea Party that costs $200.00? I wanted to know if you felt it was worth the cost. My daughter will have just turned seven when we go. Any input you have would be welcomed! :earsgirl:

I just took my DD's to the tea party two weeks ago (ages 5 and 11) and it was definately worth the money. The smile on my DD's face when Aurora walked in was priceless. For us it was "magical". If you like, I could post some pictures.

As each child walks into the room, they are showered with rose petals. At the table is a doll dressed like Aurora and there is a small surprise in thier napkin. During the tea, Rose Petal tells stories and singings songs to the children while the Baron Branch plays a piano. They do a very good job. When Aurora comes in, all the children parade around the room, and then Aurora spends time with each child taking pictures and signing autographs, then she gives each child a rose. The doll is like an American Girl doll, but not quite the same quality. The food is pretty good, I just posted pictures in the Disney Restraunt Forum.

You will definately have a good time. :sunny:

Thanks for the information! I was pretty certain that I would be going, but after reading your input, I will for certain take my daughter. I would love to see some photos!

Here are a few pictures I took. Sorry they are so small, I tried to enlarge them, but it wouldn't work.

Oh I can't wait to take my DD. Do you think 4 will be too young? She turns 4 on Thanksgiving day and I want to do something extra special for her that weekend. Did you notice if most of the little girls dressed up as Aurora or were there different costumes? Also, did you have to eat someplace else afterward, or was the food enought to last until dinner?

TIA!

princesspiglet, four isn't too young IMO, my DD had just turned five and had a great time. Most of the children were dressed up in different costumes and some were in very pretty dresses. I remember quite a few Auroras, but there were also Cinderellas, Snowwhites, Belles,a Jasmine, and a Tinkerbell.

I think we may have gotten a small snack later in the day, but I was saving my appetite for Jiko that night :teeth: .

Remember to bring your camera and an autograph book if you have one. I didn't bring my DD's autograph book because we already had Aurora, I didn't think Rose Petal or Barron Branch were going to be signing books. We ended up having them sign the placecards that were on the table (which I intend to use in our scrapbook). Have a great time. :flower:

My DD had just turned 5 and absolutely loved every minute. I had just as much fun as she did! It's nice to be pampered once in a while!! You are not wasting your money if you take advantage of the Tea Party. It is worth every single penny!!

Thank you for posting all those beautiful pictures! I am taking my DD6 there for the first time in Oct. We are VERY excited about it. princess:

My DD was 4 at the time. We loved it!! The picture in my sig was taken on the way back to CR after the tea! It was magical and worth every penny!!!! :goodvibes

Thank you for the wonderful pictures. You make it possible to visualize this lovely tea party. I am definately taking my grandaughter, who will be 4. The CM that I spoke to, seems many months ago, said that it is nice to begin and end the trip around a Princess meal, so I hope to take her on the last day of our trip as a magical finish. My GDD will be enchanted.

I just LOVE all the pictures you took!!!!!

I am so on the fence about it. I want to do it but the cost is making me second guess it. I am thinking it will be over $400 for the 3 DDs and me. A lot of money when I am scrimping by just to go on our dream trip for our 10th. My 2nd DD's birthday is the week after and after you posted about the cake, hummm.. it is so hard to make up my mind. ;)

Maybe everyone will feel better about the money you will be spending if I break it down a bit:

These are only est.

Doll:$45
outfit for doll:$20
charm braclet (I think it had one heart charm):$10
scrapebook pages:$5
crown for girls:$5

Total in merchandise:$85 (may be a bit overestimated)

For one adult and one child minus merchandise it is $115

Look at it like $60 a person plus you get a wonderful lunch with tea.
The Hoop Dee Doo is $50 per person as is Spirit of Aloha. Really the tea is not much more when you break it down like this.

Hope this helps some of you to decide!!!

The absolutely wonderful feeling of being a princess for the very first time...the memories that you will take home...PRICELESS!!

Really though, if you have the money to spend on it, I would not miss it. If you are scrimping, don't sacrifice something else to do this. You are going to have a magical vacation whatever you do. For me and my daughter, this was the cherry on the sundae. Our vacation would have still be absolutely memorable if we hadn't gone. :flower:

I had asked a while ago if anyone had pictures. I am going to work my hardest to get a ressie for my DD's 4th birthday. She LOVES Aurora and dressed like her last year for halloween. princess:

I'm pretty sure it is 90 days out. They will charge you for the full price at the time of booking. I don't think that this is something that sells out very quickly, but I would book it ASAP just in case. I hope you all have as magical a time as we did. :sunny:
