Anyone have a preference or suggestion? We are going in late March and my girls (5 & 6 years old) would love both but I can't decide which one..... :confused3

Thanks

T

BBB is cheaper, if you get the coach package and can last the whole day. ;) , especially if you get an early morning appointment.

You DDs are the right age for the tea party, but it was so expensive and you will need to take a lot of pictures so they can look back and remember it. My DD went at age 4 and she does not remember it at all. She did BBB at age 5 and really loved it and the attention she got the whole day.

I took DD(then 4 1/2) to PPP last March. It was perfect. She remembers it so well and keeps a little photo album by her bed with a pic of her and Sleeping Beauty. She is a HUGE Aurora fan, otherwise I don't think I would have spent the $$$. I am glad we went, It was a treat for me as well.

I have not tried BBoutique, but am considering it this year. We shall see. I have seen a similar thing in our mall (Libby lu?) and thought about doing that for her birthday here. You can't have a tea party with Aurora anywhere else though!

Good luck, and have fun deciding.princess:

Call me nuts, but we're planning both on the same day next Friday. We have the very first appointment booked at BBB at 9am, and are planning to do the basic package for my 5 year old. princess: Then we plan to cab it over to the Grand Floridian for the tea. I know I'm cutting it close, and I am still thinking about cancelling the BBB, but it seems do-able if we call a cab...:confused3

I can't remember what time the tea starts, but if it is 10am then you are cutting it close. Just because you have an appointment at 9am doesn't necessarily mean you will be seated at 9am at BBB. We arrived at 8:30 and there was already a line. When we got inside, they greated those first in line and then handed those of us in the back of the line a beeper. We were called within minutes but others had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes. It took about 20 minutes for the whole sitting. Then I would not pass up the photo session over near guest services, it is free and you can get a bunch of pictures on your photopass. If no one is in line there it is about 10 minutes for pictures.

In December we did the BBB at 9 am then the Wonderland Tea Party at 1:30. My daughter loved it, wore her own Aurora dress and had the Crown package (I think - that's the middle one, right?). We hung out at DTD after that and had lunch there, then went to the Grand Floridian for the Wonderland tea party.

I highly recommend both, but she did enjoy the BBB more. Total spent was $75 ($45 at BBB and $30 at tea party).

I liked your idea so much I'm copying it this May for my girls. I didn't want to spend money to have their hair done later in the day, but wasn't sure what to do after having it done--and then I saw your note about the Wonderland tea party. Thanks for mentioning it!

OK, princess novice here--can someone explain these both to me? i'm knee in planning a last minute trip and i have 6 year old boy-girl twins.

Thanks!!

BBB is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique located in the World of Disney Store at Downtown Disney. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique salon transforms little girls into Disney princesses with hairstyling, make-up, and manicures with the help of a "Fairy Godmother-in-Training." The Fairy Godmother herself "owns" the new Boutique, which offers a menu of salon services designed to pamper princesses age 3 and up. Package options and prices include:

-- Coach Package: Includes hair style and shimmering makeup -- $35 plus tax.

-- Crown Package: Includes hair style, shimmering makeup and nails -- $45 plus tax.

-- Castle Package: Includes the Crown Package plus an imaging package (one 6x8-inch photo and four 4x6-inch photos in a Princess-themed photo holder). Also includes a complete child-size costume with accessories -- starting at $175 plus tax.

Each package comes with a sash, and there are three different hair style options from which to choose: the Fairytale Princess, the Disney Diva and the Pop Princess.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique now also offers a boys' experience called "Cool Dude." Cool Dude offers hair styling, colored gels/sparkles and Mickey stencils for young men looking to enhance their appearance.

You can see some photos (as well as the info above) on http://allearsnet.com/btp/bibbidi.htm

The Wonderland Tea Party is a one-hour, children only party at the Grand Floridian. Cost is about $28/child + tax and is hosted by Alice & the Mad Hatter. Kids have a small lunch and decorate a cupcake while being entertained with Alice & MH. We are doing the BBB in the morning and going over to the Grand Floridian for the Tea Party (M-F from 1:30-2:30 pm) in the afternoon.

We're going in May and scheduled a 9:00 BBB and a 10:20 seating at Cinderella's Royal Table. We thought the tea party was too pricey. Am I going to have trouble on timing here?

If you have your own transportation maybe not. But remember Disney buses do not go from DTD to a park. Last year after BBB and photos we to the bus from DTD to the contemporary and then were going to walk or take the monrail. At that time in the morning about 10:15, we were the only ones on the bus and the driver hear us talking about if we should walk or if we would catch the monerail and he took us over to the Magic Kingdom. Very nice. I would not count on that happening.

You can also take a Taxi, but they can only take you to Contemporary or TTC.

This is a great idea, this I would do and would not be as rushed as trying to make a 10am or 11am seating. I think the OP was looking at the princess Tea, which is $200/child and parent (not sure how much for adding a sibling) and that is what such a high cost that I felt did not work for my DD.

Yup, that would be the one. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do both but I am not sure I want to spend $100 plus (x's two) for the Bippity and then $200 (plus $75.00) for tea. I mean if someone were to tell me that this was well worth the $$ then I may consider it. I mean if I were to do both ... YIKES ... that is a $500 day just for my girls. There is a older brother in the mix as well (who will be golfing with DH while the girls and I do the Tea thing)
Geeesh .... this whole planning thing is harder than I thought! :) But I will have to look into the Alice Tea. I don't remember reading about that one.

I'm confused on the prices for the tea? How much for a 4 yr old and a 5 yr old and a Mom?:rotfl:

We did the Perfectly Princess Tea Party last January (BBB was not open yet, or I would have been trying to decide, too!) But let me tell you, my DD LOVED the tea party, and so did I! It was around $200 for the two of us and my sister went, too. I am not sure of the cost because my parents paid for us to go.

Anyway, each princess is announced and receives a crown and shown to their table where they receive an Aurora doll (similar to AG). Then when they unroll thier napkins they receive a bracelet. They also receive a thank you not from Aurora, birth certificate for the doll and a scrapbooking paper and stickers. Rose Petal entertains throughout the time as you sip tea and apple juice, eat finger sandwiches and cake for dessert. Then Aurora is announced and the girls follow her around the room dancing. Then she visits each princess for photos. It really was magical and I am so glad that we were able to do it.

Tracers, you can do BBB for $35/each child if you choose the coach package (hair and makeup) and bring costumes from home. So your cost would be $70/BBB and then $275 for the tea, plus tax. If you went with Charmedlife idea of the wonderland tea, then it would be $90 for the tea. I have heard this tea is lots of fun, but parents are not included. Oh , the things we do for our princesses:lovestruc

Thanks for the explanation. I'll have to think about that one. it's a lot more $$ on top of an already expensive outing, and I don't think my son would go for being a "cool dude" although his twin sister would probably go for the Hair and makeup routine.

Now that she really would love. Where is that tea held?

The Perfectly Princess Tea Party is held at the Grand Floridian and I think it's like $200 plus tax for one child and one adult. An additional child is another $150.
