Just wondering. My niece will be 8 when we go in November. DH is attending a conference in the AM's and I thought this would be a wonderful thing to do with her. She's very much into American Girl type dolls, and still has her room done in Princesses, although that might change to "soccer" this summer. I've been seeing allot of 3,4 and 5 year olds. Personally, neither of my sons remember hardly anything about thier Disney trips from when they were those ages, even 6, so I think it might be nice for her and something special that she'll actually remember doing with her aunt. Any opinions????

I think she'd love it, and you'll be the best aunt that ever lived!

Once a princess, always a princess. Have a great time.

My DD was 7 when we did CRT (I didn't know about it before then). There were a lot of younger girls there (dressed up like little princesses) but she liked meeting them, got her picture taken with all of them and loved eating in the castle. And she never played with dolls much. I know it's not the Princess Tea, but I think that no matter what the age of a girl she'd like to meet the princesses and have tea with them! You're right, too..she'll remember it, as well.

I just asked my 9 yr old DD and she said she'd eat/have tea with the Princesses still. Like I said..she's not a big "doll" person. I think your DD will love it!

Thanks for the replies. You're right. She went to CRT last July when her whole family came with us. She was 7 then and just enthralled with the princesses and eating at the castle. Oh, I think I'm going to be the "aunt of the year" in her book. Maybe the aunt of the year for years to come!!! We tell her next week about the trip and I'm so excited about it. We're writing an invitation and giving it to her. Thanks again. I think I'll stop worrying and just go ahead and do it. I've only had 2 boys, so I'm going a little "girl" crazy doing this with her.

I'm 24 and I think I would love the Princess Tea.... :rotfl: So, I think 8 is a pretty perfect age for it!

My oldest dd will be 1 week shy of her 9th birthday on our next trip. She has mentioned several times about going. I debated over it on our last trip, and I decided to wait. During that trip we happened to be in the GF lobby while they were having the tea party. Both dd's wanted to go, but we were at the end of our trip. On our December trip they will get to go as early Christmas presents. I am still trying to think of a cool way to surprise them.

I have to laugh, my wife and I still go to character breakfasts each time we go to WDW and we are in our 50's now. Remember what Walt said: "Growing old is mandatory, going up is optional". At least I think he said that. I know I read it hear on some thread, oh well...smjj

smjj, as of Monday we will both be 51, and this whole thing started with taking my neice because DH wanted to eat at 1900 Park Fair "again". We had eaten there in October, when my sister and friend, both in their 30's just HAD to meet Cinderella!!! SO, DH says, wish we had a girl for November, I'd like to go back and eat there, I said, we should invite Claudia (DN), mentioned this "casually" to my SIL, SIL says, that would be great, then I mention it seriously, SIL can't imagine why we'd like to take her daughter for a week, but DH and myself think it would be wonderful!!!

Our two sons are in college and to take a little one again would be fun. So now we're beyond the reason of 1900 Park Fair character meal, but we will be doing that too. We usually hit at least one character meal also when we're there without kids too. I agree with Walt, we choose to stay young!!! So we can't be far behind you!!! I just have very young brothers and sisters!!!
