I can take my daughter alone with me but since my son is too young to do the pirate's cruise I was thinking he and DH could join us at the princess tea. I know DH would love to see DD meet the princesses. I know the little boy's get a bear and a crown but do many little boys or dads go? I don't want them to feel too out of place. BTW he will be two and won't care either way at being at a girlie thing! :wizard:

DH went with us, and enjoyed seeing DD have such a wonderful time.

You said "meet the princesses" - do you know that Aurora is the only princess there?

There were a couple dad's a boys there too when we went. The only princess is Aurora and then "Rose Petal". A rose from princess Aurora's garden "which has come to life" sings and tells stories. I took my neice and we really enjoyed it.

Why not let DH and DS have some boy time together while you do the tea. When we went there were no boys, but a couple of dads. My DH took my 2 older dd's to chef mickeys while we were at the tea, I bet your son would like that much better. Then you can meet up after the tea and do whatever you want together after that. I wouldnt wast the 200 price tag on a 2 year old boy, I don't think it is worth it.I would do it as a mommy and me thing and send dad and the boy somewhere else.

I wouldn't let DH miss seeing our 2 girls attend for the world! He's their parent, too, and wants to enjoy those types of things just as much as I do, so he's coming along. I think your DH would love seeing all of your kids experience the tea. It sounds like such a magical time! Go for it! princess:

Are you kidding me??? What on earth do they serve at this tea??? $200 a kid? Yikes!

I pouted a little when I saw that they offered a tea for girls (didn't look like boys were allowed from the name of it) but I'm not going to pout anymore, I'll be very happy to send my son on his $30 Pirate Adventure!!! hahaha

The tea was absolutely delightful, but it is a sea of pink. When I last went, there were plenty of dads and grand-dads, but I do belive my 5 year old DS would much prefer staying with DH at Tom Sawyer Island or the resort pool. After seeing the pictures, DS says "no way" for the next trip, but it was the first thing DD (4) asked to do! I can't see that it would be worth the money for a DS--

We did this two years ago. The day we did this there was no boys at all. Only Moms, grandmoms and little girls. It was a nice thing to do. My daughter enjoyed this until a disney bride walked by the window outside. I wish I had known she would have rather gone to the wedding! LOL

This is like anything else we have experienced at Disney. A most do at least once but a little expensive to do every time.

We attended May 2005. Other than the piano player & waiters, there was not a male in sight. I would not dream of bringing my son who is 4. It would detract from the event if I had to deal with him not wanting to be there. He is generally a well-behaved child, but I think the tea is too long to expect a young child who is not interested to sit still and be quiet. Each child is different however. It is my opinion that there is really nothing for him to enjoy at this very expensive event.

When we went in Oct 05 DH stayed at the resort, which gave him a lie in and saved him cash. He was doubly happy. DD6 and I sat next to a lovely little girl of a similar age who had been bought by just her dad. Rose Petal called on him to help act out the story, he was brilliant and looked fairly content but DH would have been mortified. Be aware that dads present may be given a job :-) Actually DH didnt save as much cash as he thought because he wasnt present to put the brakes on in the GF gift shop afterwards. We ended up there to get some free scrap book pages and get a certificate signed but while the doll the girls are given looked wonderful as Aurora DD felt her new darling required some casual options :-) If you can count a full minnie mouse outfit complete with panties socks and shoes !
