Princess Storybook Lunch

The food was good at lunch. I liked having something a little different. There are lots of choices on the cold buffet and the meal choices were pretty good. You can see the menu at www.allearsnet.com I had the open faced salmon sandwich. DD5 had the turkey rollup. We were there in October and are returning for lunch in May. The character interaction was just ok - about the same as at CRT. Each princess only came by once and did not spend much time at each table.

So the cold food is on a buffett and the entree is ordered off of a menu? Or is the entree a buffett too?

We ate there in Dec and the food was not very good. DH barely ate anything and I was limited in choices due to food allergies and DD (4) is a picky eater. We did not see any kind of buffet at lunch, all of our food was served to us at the table. We did have great character interaction though. Snow White was especially great. We saw the same Snow White again at CRT for breakfast 2 days later and she remembered DD and her name. DD was in heaven. We just wrote the cost of the lunch off as an entertainment fee since we didn't like the food. HTH

As I understand, the hot entrees are all you can eat, but you need to finish what's in front of you before they'll bring you another entree. I'm probably going to eat there in May, and if I do, I'll post a report here.

First of all, we LOVED this lunch last May. We had GREAT character interaction and did not feel like we were rushed off and really loved the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Our food was ok, good enough to eat but nothing to write home about. We also chalked it up to the experience instead of the dining. I do have to say that my 2 DD's ordered PB&J and it was literally an "uncrustables" sandwich, some grapes and a drink...all for $11.99!!!!!!! Again, it was totally worth the experience and we would do it again in an instant.
Have fun!

We were there in Dec 2005 for dinner and March 2006 for lunch. The food was good, cold buffet for app & menu choices for entree. My DD 2.5 yold loved being there with the princess. My DD jst flipped out when she saw the princess

Please let us know all about it when you get back. I'm still on the fence about Lunch or dinner. We changed to breakfast, but DD wants to see Aerial so if Lunch is edible maybe I will switch. Thanks

I would go for lunch if you want to see Ariel. She was in the lobby with a ballgown when we went for lunch and my DD4 was so excited. We also saw Belle, Jasmine, Mulan and Aurora. I made the ADR last minute and was very happy we did not miss this experience. We all like the food I had the pasta with grilled chicken and vegatables, the kids grilled chicken and vegtables, and DH had the meatloaf dish. The cold buffet was good and my kids and I shared a plate of cucumbers (weird but we really enjoyed those) and they had other good choices on the cold buffet. We didn't stick around for dessert, so no comment there. You order you hot meal and then help yourself to the cold buffet. Our scrapbook has a whole 4 pages of nothing but joy in Norway!

My DD would love to see those princesses, but the food doesn't sound good to me and DH for sure won't try anything new. I guess you ordered something very basic so maybe we will go. I wish I knew for sure who is usually at breakfast. Thanks for the info.

I'm curious which princesses are usually there at dinner. Is there a pattern, or is it just chance? Does anyone know? When I booked dinner for our upcoming trip, the CM just said that no characters are ever guaranteed, which I already knew. We just want Snow White (1st choice) and Jasmine (2nd choice)--or preferably both, of course.

We had a large group and we all thought the food was terrible. We did like seeing the princesses, but left and ate counter service! In May we will be going at Breakfast--Sorry Ariel, we'llSee you in MK!

I think Snow White is usually at Breakfast, at least when we went last time.

Overall we thought the food was good. I think they kind of skimp on the desserts imo. When you walk in there is an area to get a picture with a princess. I'm not sure how it's working now, but apparently they were bringing people in and getting the pics taken before you sat down. They never did this with us and we spotted Ariel in there on the way out (no idea about the pictures at the time) and went in to see her. Then someone from management came over and told us we had to leave. The lady taking pics had to explain that we were actually guests of the restaurant just leaving, but it really soured the experience. That and the princesses really just breezed through. My dd loves Aurora and I think she was the worst. She just walked over, said hi, and then posed (without asking us what we even wanted) and then left. Cinderella at least chatted with my dd for a minute. Frankly, we had better luck just randomly finding princesses in the parks and talking to them. I won't go back just to see the princesses for that meal.

DD and I went this past Thursday and that's exactly who we saw also. Ariel in her dress to take pictures with before you are seated and then everyone else comes by the tables. My dd absolutely loved it! I was worried about the food but the meal was good. I also had the Pasta Akershus which is the the pasta, chicken, and vegetables and DD had a hot dog and instead of corn, I asked for grapes. She's very picky, but I knew this was a meal she would eat. The Princess interaction was great. Each princess spoke to her and said something quirky and cute before signing her book and posing for pictures. I would definitely do it again.

We went one year ago. The lunch food is Norwegian which is not so great for us. The kids meals were nice, a variety of finger food munchies and turkey rollup. I tried the chicken salad- the chicken was regular but the "salad" was like sour runny coleslaw (sorry, I'm picky). DH could NOT find anything he would even try so I told him to ask for a kids meal which they gave him, doubled in size. I was very jealous of his "plain" chicken, baked potato, and corn!

Princesses were fine, it was good we went because that was the only time we saw Jasmine...a must for Allison. I do remember her talking about how she liked Allison's name because it sounded like Aladdin's. Would have liked to have seen Ariel. Except for Jasmine, it was the same princesses we had seen the day before at CRT.

We've going to try this one in October. :teeth:

We have Norweigan relatives so we might just cope with the food - even though DD and I are really fussy eaters!

DD just really wants to see the princesses again and DH is refusing to return to CRT! :rolleyes2

My DD loves Jasmine! We are going to CRt for breakfast also, I would rather have lunch at PSB because we don't want to see the exact same princesses. I know Aerial is not at breakfast but Mulan usually is and DD likes her alot too. Having trouble deciding between breafast & Lunch.

The food is EXCELLENT - just our kind of meal, but then we are very healthy eaters and do not like many of the unhealthy WDW counter service or table service restaurants. As far as we are concerned its just a pity that there is not one princess free meal. Its a great choice especially if you like fish and we do - big time!
