Can someone explain the menu for lunch, please? Kids will be okay with the kid stuff - but I'm the very fussy eater. There is nothing I see listed that I would eat. I do no seafood, and am pretty basic. Really, I have the tastebuds of a child still.

But what is this cold buffet part of the meal? I think that may be promising!:)
What is on that? Is there basic salad, lunch meats (ham, turkey), fruit? Is it kind of like a nice salad bar? Basic rolls? Really, I can make a meal out of a good bread basket:rotfl:
Can an adult order like a hot dog off the kiddie menu?

The breakfast sounds great - but we love breakfast and have too many scheduled and am having a tough time finding a time to fit Ohana's in - which is our FAV! I've run out of days to do breakfast! So am thinking of Ohana's for breakfast - and then swing over and do Epcot, have lunch at Norway.

We went to the breakfast there a few years back - and honestly did not care for it. We had better interaction with the princess at the parks and I hated the food. This is a character meal we would not do again.

This is the one place that we keep going back too for the princess interaction all in one spot. IMHO the food is just okay, tolerable at best.

Off the top of my head:
The cold bar had several choices of pickled herrings, a few Norwegian cold salads, leaf salad, a few choices of breads, sliced meats, cheeses and fruit.

I would imagine you could order a hotdog...that would be ONE expensive hot dog though.

I have always enjoyed the dessert tray they bring out. :thumbsup2

But really we do got there time and time again to see the princess'. The last times we were there Cindy has been there too. :thumbsup2

I am a picky eater and for what I could eat I did not enjoy the buffet. I thought that food was bland and the entire experience was less than I hoped foodwise.

The breakfast is a lot better.

They will make you an adult sized portion of the kids food if you wish. The one that works really well for this is the cheese ravioli. It was just basic frozen cheese ravioli and what tasted like any old jarred red sauce. My son was adult aged and he ordered this and was given a nice large plate of pasta.

This place was the laugh of our Grand Gathering of 15. We had lunch there because we had a princess in our party, age 4. Most of us thought the food was terrible, just not our style. But we all thought is was worth it for the 4 year old....she LOVED it.

So now 2 years later, I have a 2.5 year old we are taking back. I read off our Dining reservations to my DH, which included this restaurant, and he said, "You're kidding, that's not the place with that strange food, is it." I said, "yes but we are going for breakfast, which is american food." All is well in our house..lol

So my suggestion, is either go for breakfast, or plan on grabbing something for yourself either prior to or after....I could not pick out anything on the menu to eat, and I am a fussy eater myself. But, as the previous poster said, if you can get something off of the kids menu, I would definitely stick to that.:goodvibes

Thanks for the responses. I guess I'm going to try it. We're doing a split stay and that is the day we check out of our first room - and not sure what time will get into our next room and if kids will have chance for naps that day (and me!), so wanted to get a later start on our day, so breakfast anywhere would be too early for us. Only way to fit this in is to do lunch - so am hopeful there is something for me to eat - kids will be fine I'm sure. And dining with the princesses is a must for them!

We went last year at DH's request to try the food. The cold buffet--cheeses and sausages and sald were fine; neither one of us enjoyed the entrees. I left hungry. I wouldn't go back.
