Princess Races and Getting Around

I am planning to take my son to Legoland Friday, February 23rd and have to catch a shuttle bus at 9am on International Drive. There's a 5k at 5:30am, think things should be all clear by 7:30am? It's the only shuttle of the day so don't want to chance missing it.

Our flight home is 7:45am Saturday, there's a 10k that morning at 5:30am. Any reason to expect the ME will be delayed by the race?

I've never been there during a race weekend, don't run and can't gauge the crowds and timing of how long it will take to clear out, and how this will affect the roads.

Edited to add we'll be leaving in the mornings from POP.

I don't think you'll have any problems. The 5K doesn't really affect any roads except the backstage CM entrance to Epcot, and the 10K routes usually don't go beyond the Epcot resorts area.

The half and full marathons have a bigger impact on roads.

You shouldn’t have a problem on either morning.

Your DME bus won’t have a problem entering Pop to pick up Guests at 4:45am. The only other traffic will be runDisney chartered buses picking up runners. The driver will probably avoid the Epcot area and head the opposite direction to get to I4.
