Going on the Disney Magic in April 2020.Hoping that someone can answer or help. I'm taking the granddaughters this trip and I know that they will want to meet the princesses. I don't mind waiting in a line as long as it takes. I'd basically do anything for those two little girls. Having said that I heard the princess meet and greet was a ticket only thing. So my next question is where do you get those tickets? are there enough available? Is it an additional cost?

You can sign up when your booking activities window opens. If it is sold out, go to guest services as soon as you board and see if any availability.

Thank you!! Do you know if it’s an extra charge?
It’s not an extra charge. So activities will open at midnight the day you can check in. However, what some don’t realize is that check in typically opens a few hours before that. So check periodically through the evening. If you do check in prior to midnight at soon as midnight rolls around you can start booking activities instead of fooling around with the check in form. Go right away to book the princesses and any other activities like the Disney jr breakfast and you will be fine.

If by chance you don’t get tickets, as soon as you get on the ship talk to them they usually have some other tickets held back. I know for the fantasy the booth on the first morning was right outside of enchanted gardens not sure where it is on the magic. It’s the same area you go to try to switch your dining time or get a Palo brunch if you miss it ahead of time.

Even if you are not able to get tickets, the princesses will do individual unticketed meets which will be posted in the Navigator. You would just meet them each at different times and by lining up as for any other character meet.

That is true for most princesses, but for most cruises the Frozen princesses only meet a their pre-booked (free) meet and greet. Just wanted to clarify since those are likely to be a big deal with the new movie coming up.

Very true. Olaf is the only Frozen character who has occasionally met separately on Castaway.

I agree with the other posts above and would suggest booking the Frozen ones first and then the Princesses, as there are opportunities to see the Princesses without tickets but Anna and Elsa are only at the Meet and Greet. That said, we've never had a problem getting tickets to both when we logged on as soon as our booking window opened.
Additionally, there is the Royal Court Tea Party available for an extra cost if you wanted something more elaborate than a quick photo.

No need to complete check in before booking activities.

Right. You just have to be paid in full. Our booking window for an upcoming Fantasy cruise opened at 11 pm central time, and the online check in was not available until then as well, so I would not count on being able to check in early prior to booking activities.

Thank you everyone for all the great Information. I really appreciate it. The first time we cruised Disney, our daughters were teenagers. They weren’t interested in much. That’s why the next 3-4 cruises we did without them... ha ha. Now we have granddaughters and they are grandpa’s heart. So they will get anything and everything they want.

Have fun! Also wanted to make sure you knew the younger kids typically wear costumes during the princess gathering. A couple times we’ve been in line where the parents didn’t know that and the child was having an utter meltdown and the parent was scrambling.

Thank you. I’ll do my granpaish best to find some outfits for them... or atleast some princess T-shirts or something. We are coming from Japan so it’s harder to find things.

Was going to do the Bippitty Boppitty thing with them, but the younger one isn’t old enough.
