Princess Question

We are planning our trip for mid Sept. The last time we went, in July '06 we were able to meet the different princesses in the area surrounding the front of the castle. The princesses would walk up and the kids would form lines to take pictures/autographs. Is that practice still the same? If not, where/when do you get to "meet" the princesses?

Unfortunately it's not, the Princesses are now "kept away" (ok not really but it feels like it)...in the Princess fair area. LONG lines and some way say worth the wait others say not worth the wait. We saw a couple walking around DCA, but considering how tucked away they are the lines were outrageous. In my opinion, it's just some magic Disney no longer has when you don't see Cinderella walking around Fantasyland.

I agree. The princesses are now held hostage by Princess Fantasy Faire. Gone are the spontaneous magical moments of happening upon a princess in front of the castle.

If you want to see a princess outside of the PFFT, you have to schedule a meal at Ariel's Grotto in DCA, see Drawn to the Magic show in DCA, visit Ariel at her shell at King Triton's Gardens or see Jasmine at Aladdin's Oasis.

well, it wasn't that spontaneous when i was there in may 06. the princesses all had several scheduled meet & greets in various areas (Cindy's was a real pain, her line would close less than 5 minutes after it opened because people would be waiting for her).

Cindy was to the left of the castle, either with FGM or prince charming while Aurora was on the right, i believe on the path that ultimately leads to snow white's grotto is, where... snow white of all people would be.
