Thanks Glennie! I'm not sure if the photos can even really convey the fun we had that night. It was just a ton of fun. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Hi, just joining in! Spent the weekend reading when I should have been packing. Ooops! Love all of Katie's dresses. I cannot believe you made all of them! Cannot wait to see how this trip ends! Traveling with friends can be so much fun!

I bet Disney with a friend is a whole other way to see it. Especially for 2 girls dressed as awesomely as Katie and her friend. They looked like they were having a blast, I hope Kadence has that much fun next year with her cousin.

An Elf mission that was very much appreciated, and well loved the the recipient!

Traveling with friends WAS a lot of fun.... especially since we've all been Disney buddies for so long.

We all met when the girls had just turned 5 and in the same preschool class. We bonded at the Halloween party that year when Katie went as Sleeping Beauty and McKenna went as Belle. I think it was destiny.....

Thanks Carey. We're incredibly fortunate that we get to experience Disney with our friends again this year. I'm so lucky to have so many friends (both around home and here on the DIS) who share our love of Disney.

I was following the story about Ben too. It is amazing how this boy who we had never heard about until this week made his way into so many people's heart.

Sorry to just drop off the face of the earth. But it's always like that when I'm getting ready to leave town. There's always a big pile of work that has to be done before I can walk out the door. I get it done, but it usually involves some late nights and crazy hours. I ended up packing late Friday night and we left Saturday morning. If I didn't pack months ahead of time in stages for Disney, I'd be in BIG trouble.

We drove Saturday into Colorado Springs. We took the cog railway to the top of Pikes Peak, we visited Garden of the Gods. OK..... perhaps I made us go there THREE times............ but man I just love big red rocks. We also visited 7 Falls, the Cave of the Winds, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Denver Aquarium. It was a quick trip, but it was a great little getaway.

We are very lucky to have had these opportunities. It has made for some great memories. Katie is 6 and 8 years younger than her brothers, and there are no other little girls in our neighborhood for her to play with. So we really try to seek out opportunities to get together with friends. This friend lives clear across town and is in another school district, so it doesn't happen as often a we'd like, but that keeps it really special.

The wildfires were north of Denver. We were south of there. So thankfully no worries there.

Glad your back safe girl!! The packing in stages cracks me up!! I pack the night before we leave! Usually start about 7pm!! My travel agent years made me an expert packer on short notice.

My brother lives is Colorado Springs, so pretty! The first time I went to see him I was amazed as I walked out of the grocery store, there was Pikes Peak, just in front of us. My SIL was just walking to the car and I was stopped, just looking at it in wonder. Really??? You see this while running errands?!?!??!! Beautiful and amazing! She was wondering what the big deal was....locals!!!!
