Princess of Progress...It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow TR 8/31-9/6

Lindsey is such a doll baby!!!

I love the pictures of her running up to grandma and grandpa!!!

How was the Akershus dinner? We are thinking about going there in February and taking Hollie

great update and pics.

the dress is so cute, glad she got a second wind.

I'm so glad Lindsey came out of her whiny baby poopy pants stage and moved on. My DD9 gets like that and I just can't stand the whining! You captured some great moments with your camera! I too love the shot of you and your DD looking out onto the lake, the running to grandma and grandpa was great and the one with DD and grandma kissing should be put in a frame.
I am in agreement with you about having to wait when you have a ressie, but I guess it just depends on how fast others are eating and clearing out! Makes you want to stick your head in and yell "HURRY UP PEOPLE! WE'RE STARVING OUT HERE!!!!!"

Awwwww, my little pink princess is "progressing" through life ;) Today was her 1st ballet class and they do a little tap at the end of class too. She has seven little friends in there too so that's nice for both of us.

Another great update...glad for the second wind. The picture of running to grandma and grandpa is so awesome... to catch that moment!

I suppose they all have to have at least one meltdown day. I thought I had the perfect child though :lmao: Our MK day was centered around our BBB appointment at 8:30. Our Epcot day really pushed Lindsey all day with no break. We went right through to IllumiNations and she didn't get to sleep until 10:30(?) Then on Wednesday morning I had her up early so we could get to MK in time. She really should have slept in a little. She had some choc milk and cereal in the room, but not too much to eat either. So tired and hungry are not a good combo for Lindsey.

To start off though we headed out on the monorail with grandma & grandpa. The best parts of the day for me were first thing in the morning and then much later on at dinner.

First off was being in the park before opening. That was perfect-exactly what I dreamed of when I dreamed of being there with Lindsey. I took a bunch of castle pics.....
Early morning foggy lense

I posted this in another link, but I figured I'd copy it over here since I like it to be complete.
Okay....I had much higher hopes for our BBB experience. I can't say the experience was bad, but it was nothing at all like I dreamed it to be. I got great pictures, but they don't mean too much since she cried hysterically the instant we walked out of the castle. I didn't care for our FGIT-she didn't say a word to Lindsey. The only one that was good was the older woman who was possibly training the younger one. The FGIT asked Lindsey to make all the decisions and she's only 4. I was going to end up with the punk hairstyle with pink hair extensions in her cinderella gown and press on nails. The older women stepped in when she so me very upset and started asking me the questions and I asked her to convince Lindsey that the brown hair extensions with pink ribbons were just as cool as the pink hair. My ILs were like...oh let her choose what she wants and I wanted to say...If you want her to look stupid for over $100, sure. A 4 year old can choose between vanilla and chocolate, short and long, pink and blue, but not all those decisions at once while thinking of the bigger picture. Lindsey chose PINK hair because pink was her favorite color. That's fine and sweet because she wasn't realizing what picking pink hair would look like.
The reason she cried was because the dress was ITCHY-Damn BLeeping dress. I had asked Lindsey to choose which dress before we left and that was the one she chose. I have Mrs. B's info, but on ebay she only had 5 things in her store. DO I have to contact her privately?
The dress was off after the pictures were done and the hair extension about 2 hours later. I was sooooooo annoyed at the whole thing. And the way my ADRs worked out we didn't even eat in the castle until 3pm and by then she was so far from what she had looked like at 8:30 it was ridiculous.
Hindsight being 20/20 I would have done things completely differently.

Well, here are the great pictures though

As you can see in the last picture she was by the castle in her dress and in this next one at the other end of Main Street USA at the Kodak place. So from the time it took us to walk down there and get like 6 prof. pics taken the dress was GONE. At least we were 1st in line to meet snow white for the first time this trip. She's our favorite. Lindsey was SW 2 years ago for Halloween.

Now at this time we should have stopped and had something to eat at one of the breakfast stops along MS USA, but NOOOOO DH wanted to get on the rides.

The pics from BBB lead you to believe she loved it...but i can understand the itchy dress and a 4 year old don't mix! My friends 9 yr old brought her own dress and she had that darn hair for like 24 hours- holy hairspray!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the new pictures. OMG another thing in common...the passports. hahahahaha OMG Alice! :scared1: I can not wait to see your MNSSHP pics!!!! Lindsey is a doll. Love the ballet pics too.

I brought the girls I brought down there to BBB in January, the 12 year did not want to do it and then only got the most minimal done while the 9 yr old got her hair pulled up into a bun of some kind on top of her head that had 58 bobby pins in it, we counted when she took it down.

Great pics u got of her after it.

I can understand your frustration in spending all of that money and wanting some happiness out of the whole thing. My DS and DD had "itchiness" issues too when they were little. I used to have to cut the tags out of everything! drove me crazy, but I didn't pay over $100 for it and we weren't at Disney.
She did look great though and at least she put a smile back on her face. ;)
I love seeing little girls doing dance. TOO CUTE!

I absolutely love many of your photos - the different aspects you take is spectacular! Ones I would never have thought to take --- until now! ;)

Not even done with Day 4 yet....

After the BBB debacle...DH just wanted to get on some rides-that was all he cared about doing the whole time. So instead of getting something quick to eat which Lindsey needed we went off to Fantasyland. Lindsey's favorite rides were; Snow White, Dumbo, HM, Buzz Lightyear, Philharmagic, ITASW. The second part of the morning was a blast! We got on and off all the rides so easily.

Lindsey was having fun on the rides. She didn't want to do some of the ones daddy wanted to do with her, but he got over it. DH had to go on the teacups-my belly can't handle that one.

IMG_2781.jpg

Finally, she was at her breaking point though right before lunch time. Screaming that she wanted her hair-piece OUT! Between being tired and hungry-she was a mess. I couldn't find food fast enough and as dh ordered lunch at the counter I took the 40+ hairpins out of her hair. Now she was NO where near what she looked like in those pictures. She couldn't have been more upset and I was so pi$$ed at her:eek:

After eating she got better. We headed over to Toontown. I started taking less and less pictures throughout the rest of the day.

It was the hottest part of the day now and Lindsey really didn't want to do much so we missed a lot in this area. She loved Mickey and Minnie's houses though and she got soaking wet at one of the sprayer things there. Thank god I had a change of clothes because getting wet made her upset too-UGH.
then Keith found our fan mister thing in the bag! SCORE She loved that thing and it kept her happy for the rest of the day.

Off to TommorrowLand....
We LOVED the laugh floor and the Space ranger spin. I was disappointed in the Stitch ride though. It was really scary for Lindsey and she loves stitch.

We had a little time to kill before heading back to the castle for our 2:25 ADR. So we looked around for something else to do right there in Tomorrowland and Carousel of Progress was there! I thought-NO WAY will she like it or sit still for it. But I was wrong! Lindsey couldn't stop singing the song and she thought all the people were real too. I wish I took pictures of it.

Off to the Castle next

By the time we were to go to the castle and have our special princess lunch for our special princess all she kept saying was that she wanted to go to the pool and show grandma how she can swim. The whole concept was lost on her and we had just done the princess thing at Akershus the night before with most all of the same princesses. After all was said and done I should have seen if we could have gotten in for a castle breakfast after our BBB or just scrapped it all together.

That's IT for the day as far as pictures go. It was 3:30ish and I didn't take anything else for the rest of the day. After the castle we headed out and I lingered in the Emporium for a while. Back at the Poly we went straight to the pool as per strict direction from the princess of progress herself.

At around 5 she got out and wanted to eat...dinner was at Kona at 8pm though. So I went to Captain Hook's and got her PBJ, a banana, juice and some snacks. Her favorite foods and she was happy. I gave her a bath in the hotel room so she could go right to sleep after dinner. Little did I know that after a day of driving me crazy when she was supposed to be perfect:lmao:
would she completely melt my heart and wash the events of the whole day away.

Only 10 minutes after sitting down to dinner Lindsey put her head on my lap and fell sound asleep. That is the best feeling in the world. She is so beautiful, innocent and sweet when she's asleep. I still see the 4 week old newborn in her face when she's asleep. So I sat there through dinner with her on my lap and she stayed asleep. After dinner Keith carried her the LONG way back to our LONGHOUSE and she slept for the rest of the night.:lovestruc

Again no pics.....:sad1:

Oh wow you saw Ariel in the castle. Cool! I never even knew she went there. Those pics are so good! She liked it you can tell. I like the one of you guys on the carrousel too. I can't wait to see the MNSSHP pics!!! :yay:

Another fun day, another GREAT update! :thumbsup2
