Princess meals-all? If not, which one(s)?

We currently have ADR's for Bon Voyage, CRT and Akershus for our late November/early December trip. My question is, should we do all 3? Akershus breakfast is definitely staying on the rota because that's our Epcot day and the only ADR we have scheduled. I've heard so many mixed reviews of CRT and Bon Voyage that I'm considering dropping one or maybe both. I know many people say you have to do CRT for the ambiance and the experience of eating in the castle but i don't know that my DD7 will really miss it if we do the others. She doesn't even really like Cinderella all that much.

Thoughts?

If you get two pictures of, let's say, Cinderella and they look different in two different restaurants, will your daughter notice?

Yes, CRT is a lovely room, but if Cinderella is a least-favorite, you seem to be answering your own question.

We are going in early Dec also, and despite having a Princess-loving DD & DS, I decided on only Akershus for Princess dining. I felt that CRT would be pretty, but not a "must" for us, and the way I looked at it, there's a ton of other Princess-y stuff to do in MK, whereas in Epcot, the Princess dining will be somewhat unique. I also like taking pictures and will probably be happier with photos that do NOT have plates & food and potentially other people sitting at tables in them, so I don't want to overdo the dining photos and instead will be waiting in line to meet some of the characters anyway. And, ultimately, for my family, we would prefer to use most of our time on rides or doing other things in the parks rather than eating at table service meals, so that helped with my decision also. If that's something that your family does like, then you should consider keeping them because for you guys, it would be both the Princess meet experience as well as the sit-down dining that you enjoy. But if, like us, you might prefer to eat on the run so you can get to something else you like better, then maybe you do less Princess meals.

When my DD was that age, we did both Akerhaus and CRT. I was happy we did. They were both wonderful experiences and anything beats waiting an hour in line to meet them in the park. (And there are many not at these restaurants which we did wait in long, long lines for such as Pochantas, Mulan, Anna, Elsa, Tinkerbelle, Merida, etc). If I remember there was one or two princesses at Akerhaus that were not at CRT and vice verse.

We loved the ambience of CRT. We were there for lunch. There was a surprise marriage proposal happening while we were there which added to the fairytale vibe. All the girls receive small wands. The food and service were really good. The tables were roomy. The princesses were attentive and they stood in a position where you don't get food, plates in the photo. My daughter loved it. We went back there on our next trip and she has requested that we go yet again on our upcoming trip. She will be 11, so not so much into the princesses anymore, but has such wonderful memories and she still has to see them at CRT. (We also scheduled Bibiboopity Boo just before lunch, so we were immersed in the princess world which may have added to her good memories of CRT)

Akerhaus was great too. We were also here for lunch. The princesses also visited each table and were attentive. At one point, all the kids can get up and dance/follow/sing with the princesses through the restaurant, which was really cute. Our table was small. It was a buffet, so a bit more chaotic than CRT. The food wasn't my favorite, but so worth it to see the princesses. Happy we did it on our first trip with DD, but it was a one and done for us.

We will be trying Bonvoyage on our next trip too. Rapunzel has always been my DD favorite princess.

Enjoy...7 yrs old is a wonderful age to enjoy the magic of Disney and the princesses.

Thanks for all of your input! We used to go about every other year, starting when i was her age, but that was like 30 years ago. My wife and i have both been numerous times but never together and not since the early 2000's so it's really a totally different experience now than what we're used to. I don't really remember but i don't even know if it was available to eat in the castle when we used to go. Maybe it was but, i wasn't really in to princesses

We are going in December. With a 4yr old Princess fanatic! We are doing CRT dinner, 1900 dinner AND Akershus breakfast! As well as a bunch of other character meals (we are also going with an 11yo with ASD and a love of character dining)

I’m not concerned with the cost of CRT but I’m not a fan of wasting money either. It just seems for every person who says it’s a must do, there’s one saying it’s not and that it’s not worth it.

How often do they change the princess lineup at CRT? I just looked with he princess herself and at dinner they have Cindy, Jasmine and Snow White. DD7 really isn’t in to Snow Whiteso I think I’m leaning towards doing the other 2and dropping CRT

I think they are always subjecT to change at either place, except Cinderella is always at CRT and Belle is always at Akerhaus.

When we went to CRT the first time it was Cinderella, Aurura, Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Snow White. The second time it was the same, except Ariel instead of Rapunzel.

At Akerhaus it was Belle, Cinderella, Aurura, Snow White and Ariel.

We were at CRT a few weeks ago and saw Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora, and Snow White. It was everyone's favorite meal of the trip. The food was fantastic, we had a wonderful server who played his role well and made jokes about the mice stealing the ice in our waters, and the onions in the salad coming from Cinderella's own garden and how she pickles them herself. The ambience was wonderful and we will definitely go back. Oh and DD isn't a fan of Cindy either and has never seen the movies Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, or Aladdin, so Snow White, Aurora, and Jasmine weren't super familiar to her, but she still loved this meal.

I also highly recommend Bon Voyage. DD7 rated this as her 2nd favorite meal of the trip (CRT was 1st). We saw Ariel again, as well as Prince Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider who taught the kids how to smolder and showed DD where he hid the crown. They had a parade around the restaurant, which was cute, and the food was wonderful there too.

We've never been to Akershus, but it sounds like that one is a definite for you anyway. I would go for all 3 if you can.

We had all 3 booked, and I decided to drop Akershus. I decided I wasn't convinced by the food, and with it being a PPO, didn't want to rush it to get going for the day. The other 2 I am so looking forward to, as is our DD. We have nothing booked for eating at Epcot, as even before realising it is F&W so we will just eat whatever, we were happy to just do QS that day.

We did two princess meals one trip (Akershus and CRT). I felt like there was a lot of overlap in the princesses. In the future I would probably only do one. The trip I am currently planning we only plan to do the Bon Voyage Breakfast.

Based off of the crowd calendar, Magic Kingdom is the busiest park the day we have CRT booked so that pretty much seals the deal...going to keep Bon Voyage and Akershus
