Having promised DD a Princess Makeover on our next trip (4 weeks and 6 days...!) as a belated birthday present, I am now feeling rather distraught as I found a thread on Trip Advisor which says that it is seasonal and is now CLOSED!!!!! :faint:

Does anyone know if this is true? Or any ideas how I can find out??? :confused3

It is her birthday on Sunday and if I can't do this then I need to magic up a birthday present in the next couple of days!!! :scared:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

:thanks:

you'd be best to email DLP today and ask when the Princess makeover is available during your next stay at DLP.

This is the email address for the makeover, I was given this by the Reception manager at DLH, when I had promised a makeover for my niece only to find like you that it was seasonal and not available during our dates :(
Fingers crossed and a little pixiedust:

Hi mum to belle

We are going similiar time to you. If you find out, can you let me know as woud love to do it with my DD. fingers crossed!

I was told it was seasonal too, and wouldn't be on in Feb. But when we went to Inventions Sunday Brunch we saw that it was open - so hopefully it will still be on!

11th November is the official last date. I would still contact the boutique though as sometimes what they say is different to what actually happens like Rosebug states :scared:....

Thanks guys,

I have emailed them and got Google to translate it into French as I thought this may help me get a speedier response!

I will let you know when I get a reply, but judging from your replies it's not looking good...

A thought if it closed. What if you bought a box and in side the box have

Princess dress
Tiara / crown
Wand (I have seen them in the Disney Store with all the dressing up pieces)
Shoes
Hand bag
May be dress up jewellery
Toy of some sort (Soft or play set for example)

other goodies they have
Cup

include a note from which ever Princess you have chosen (over on the creative Dis part they have some amazing letters from characters) and leave it on your bed may be you could sneak in the room before her or something or give it to her on her birthday could also include a balloon

I know it isnt the same as all the fancy having your make up and photos done but it is what I am planning for DD when we go to WDW as she will be too small for BBB

(sorry couldnt find link for hand bag but it in the picture with the dress)

tinks 1989 thats a really lovely idea :goodvibes

Can anyone tell me what age the princess makeover is recommended for? And assuming this is on at the Paris site?

It was definitely there on Wednesday last, on the first balcony to the left as you go up the stairs in the DLH. I think Tink's Mum took photos of the price list and the dressing tables.

We were all very disappointed because they said it was for kids only and we couldn't get a makeover ;)

Id imagine age 4-7 maybe?? Dd2 is 6 and princess crazy so she would luv this, hopeing we can do it in march. Dd1 is 7.5 and tbh she is kinda over the character side but id imagine she would still want it done with her sis.

I believe it has been on as obviously Halloween is high season/numbers. As I said earlier, official last day for the winter is 11th November. Then not sure when it will return, probably early Spring - but that is a guess. They have just put up a new poster advertising it in the hotel, which is a little odd if they are stopping it for the winter :confused3.

Jenny - have you emailed them again to remind them? Have to say when I have emailed them about something, I normally give them a week to 10 days then forward back asking for a reply - sometimes I then get one quite quickly, or I end up having to send a third time a week or so later! Appreciate that they must get so many emails to deal with, but their tardiness at replying to people is something that really does annoy me. :rolleyes2

My daughter will be 2 weeks off her 4th birthday when we go so wondering if she's too young.

In the local travel brochures for DLP, they advertise a make over for boys and girls. However, I'm not sure if it's the big deal with pictures etc, or "just" a voucher for a prince/ princess costume + accessories.

I like the DIY make over someone suggested here too!

Certainly not too young :goodvibes. My daughter was 3.5 in August and she had the makeover, she loved it!

There are photos in my TR: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2978641

just had a look at your photos thank you, your little girl is gorgeous and looks sooooo happy!
i would love my daughter to have the makeover too, but can you just tell me did you daughter stay with you throughout or did she go off with the princess? the reason i ask is my daughter can be quite clingy in certain situations and would be reluctant i think to just go off without me.
