My daughter had the makeover this weekend at the Disneyland Hotel and it was an amazing experience. I know that it is expensive but if anyone was considering it but they weren’t sure about it I would absolutely recommend it.

Chloe had the Aurora prestige package which meant that she had a dress, wand, tiara, hair and make up, toy set, one large photo and the photo frame.
As the Aurora crown is bigger than the one for Cinderella and Belle I was told that I could have one of the others of pay 2 euros extra for the Aurora one, which is what I did. Chloe was glowing, she felt so special and for this I believe it was worth the money. She kept asking me if people thought she was the real Aurora because people were making comments and calling her princess.

I asked about the shareholders discount with this and was told that it would only be available for some items as it’s not available for the whole package. All together it should have been 162 euros but I paid 152 euros so I still got a bit off! Also, I bought three photos and got the shareholder discount with those.

I’ve taken pictures of the price list and what is included in case anyone on here would be interested. I need to get sorting the photos for my trip report so I’ll add the price list photos when I get to them as well as ones of her makeover.

Thanks for the review - we are planning on booking this in 2 weeks for our DD. Would love to see photos of the pricelist and of your daughter! Can you choose any princess? Rosebug has been asking on repeat to be Snow White!

:thumbsup2

Yes, they can be any princess. There is a specific Snow White one package but you could take your own or buy your own one there and just have the hair and make up done. I'm just sorting the pictures now so I'll pop those on in a sec :goodvibes

Thanks! We'll buy the dress there I think, although her Aurora one is still huge on her! My dad is paying for the makeover for her so she can have the dress etc. too!

Looking forward to the pics!

I did take some closer ones but the words seem clear enough on that one.

My photos aren't great, I just took a few while she was having her hair and make up done.

This is the one I had for the free large print

I chose the next one as an extra print then Chloe chose the other two as extras.

There were two sisters just finishing when we arrived and the older one had make up and a little bit of face paint but the younger one had a little make up and much more face paint. I liked that, it felt more age appropriate and Chloe was asked what she wanted and she said make up and a little face paint.

Wow, lovely photos! Your DD looks fab!

Rosebug has that dress, we got it in Feb, but is still too big for her! Hope the Snow White or Rapunzel ones are slightly shorter, as that's what we will give her the option of in August. She is so wee, only 3 and teeny, the dresses are quite big, and we'll ask for just facepaint I think!

Thank you so much! Your daughter looks like she had a wonderful experience!

princess:

When did you book? We ideally would like it for around 10am on our first day, as we are booked in for Auberge at 12pm. But that means we would only be able to book at around 8am, and thinking it may be booked by then!

Thank you, she really loved it. I think the younger sister was about 4 so you can ask before they start and they'll just do face paint. I think the face paint is a really nice touch for the makeovers.

I don't think there would be a problem with booking it, I went to book it the day before and the person was surprised I was booking so early. People tend to go into the shop, pay for it then go and get it done so I think you'll be fine to pop in at 8am. It doesn't take long anyway, around 20 minutes for hair, make up and photos. The photos are ready 5 minutes after they are taken too.

Kara, your DD looks beautiful  she looks a real princess. princess:

I really like the makeovers they do at DLP, it's very tastefully done unlike the ones I've seen at WDW.

Thank you! I think she's beautiful but then I'm biased :) That's how I feel, I've only seen the pictures at WDW but I think those makeovers are better for older girls, I think they would be a bit much for the younger ones. I liked Chloe's because although I thought she had a lot on, it was still done nicely and wasn't over the top :goodvibes

Wow! What beautiful photos!!!

You have made me think about this now as we'll be going just after DD's birthday. She has never been keen on face paint before, usually wipes it off, but she did wear make up for her ballet show this year so maybe....?!!

Thank you for sharing! :flower3:

Thank you :) She may be ok with a little bit of face paint if it's combined with the make up, I think it is such a wonderful experience for little girls who like their princesses or dressing up princess:

When we were there about 4 weeks back we had this for our little girl, she chose to be Rapunzel and we got the 155 euro package I think, expensive but it was a really nice experience and she lapped it up, despite being only 3 she behaved like a princess and was absolutely perfect.

I still need to get my TR done so i'll add pics then.

The Rapunzel dress is beautiful! princess: I really like that one.I agree, it is expensive but it is a lovely experience for them. I'll keep an eye out for the pictures, I'd love to see them :goodvibes

My daughter would LOVE to be Rapunzel! She hates having her hair brushed though! Hmm. I know this gets asked a lot, but does anyone know if they're likely to be open on the first weekend of December?

I have no idea, sorry! If you email them they should be able to let you know though. It might be open with it being part of the christmas season but I'm not sure :)

I added Chloe's makeover photos to my TR yesterday but I thought I'd add add them to this too.

Here's the current price list.

She had the makeover on Saturday 3rd August. I booked it 2 days before and there were already a number of time slots taken so I'd recommend booking it in advance when possible.

Chloe had the Ariel package, with the Dream AP I got a discount off some of the items so I paid 152 euros in the end.

It was another lovely experience and I highly recommend it.

She had all of her hair tied up this time and she had a little bit of make up and face paint. She looked and felt beautiful and behaved so elegantly all day. She got so much special attention which she was thrilled about, the CMs were calling her princess etc and the characters were brilliant, the Queen of Hearts even curtsied to her during the parade!

As I said last year if anyone was considering it I'd say go for it. Yes it's expensive but there are different ways to do it which make it a little cheaper, but overall it was another incredible experience that Chloe will remember forever.

Another fabulous makeover - she looks beautiful!

Hoping we can book a makeover in Feb for Rosebug's birthday. When we were there in Feb 2012 we were told it probably wouldn't be running - then say it was when we went for brunch! So fingers crossed it is on again this Feb!

Thank you!

Yeah they said it wasn't going to be on in November last year then changed their mind and it was on when we were there! Apparently now it's running all year due to demand so hopefully it's on so she can have it for her birthday!
