Princess half marathon weekend

Is it hard to get into Animal Kingdom at this time? I would imagine they're all difficult but wanted to know firsthand from anybody who's tried to book there during this time. Obviously it's not my home resort so I would have to wait till 7 months out.

What about Boardwalk?

I haven't look at the dates for the Princess this year, but I can't imagine you would have a hard time at all trying to get into AKV. It's a huge resort and rarely does it fill up at he 7 month window unless you go during very high demand times, or want CL or a value.
BWV may be a bit tougher, since you can walk back there after the race, but I bet you have a good chance there as well.

Good luck. The Princess was my first half several years ago and I loved every minute of it. Wish my AP didn't expire in January. (But that gives me a chance to talk dh into letting me run Goofy....

This will be my first. I'm excited. I literally just started running. But I've been talking about doing this for years, so I'm going to do it.

The path ends at Epcot I'm assuming then? Since you said you can walk back to BWV. That would be nice.

I was able to get a value 2 bedroom at 7 months for the Princess half in 2012. I called first thing in the morning. Good luck!

You will need a park ticket to walk back.
Also register early. Disney added 'stuff' to make sure this sells out.

Yes. This is likely to sell out day 1 at least for the Glass Slipper challenge like the Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare challenge did. AKV shouldn't be a problem, boardwalk may be a little trickier.

I agree. I have probably done my last Disney race. Pricing does not equal race quality

Amy - I just booked OKW today for that weekend. It will be my first half marathon as well. Can't wait! We'll be doing the 10K too!

We were at AKV in 2012 for the Princess Half. We were there with a large group and were able to get 3 studios and a 2 bedroom all savana view on the 7 day mark. Our group arrived on Friday and left on Monday that year.

I booked a boardwalk view at BWV for the 2014 Princess Half this morning. We arrive on Thursday the 20th and check out on Tuesday the 25th. I did try for standard view but some of the days weren't available. Pool/Garden view was also available but since the points are the same for that and the boardwalk view, I reserved boardwalk.

That's disappointing to hear. I was hoping BWV would be open. :/ Looks like I might be at OKW or SSR then. Not my first choice, but I hate spending points unnecessarily. I'm hoping I can something at AKV. That would be my next choice if I can't get BWV.
