I am putting a little scavenger type hunt together and one of the things I want to include is a Princess Gathering. I realize this is a ticketed event and that I may not get the specific time I choose but for planning purposes on other things, what days and times is this offered? I will leave the times open or more free if I can at least plan them accordingly.

We are on the Fantasy, Eastern D itinerary.

Thank you.

I'm not sure whether the actual times/days are the same from cruise to cruise. Hopefully, someone (well, several someones) will chime in with the days/times they had for compilation.

That makes sense. I would have been happy to comb through navigators but they don't print the times so hopefully people do let me know. I understand its mainly on sea days

From what I've observed my guess would be that it happens a couple times a day on sea days. Morning and afternoon. Again, just what I seem to have observed. When I've gotten tickets they've always been morning on the 1st or 2nd sea day. That said, hopefully you'll give your party the scavenger hunt pre boarding so they can go straight to guest service and get the tickets if they want. And you may want to include a note that they need to do so on your papers for them in case they don't realize that needs to happen.

From what I can tell on the 4-night Dream cruise they are both (princess and Anna & Elsa) on the sea day in the morning (I think one is 8-10am and the other is 10-noon).

This was gathered from reading various trip reports. Not sure how it would apply to the Fantasy... But trip reports are a good way to start.

I guess they no longer include this in the navigator since they are ticketed and they don't want a lot of people showing up without tickets.

I plan to get them the tickets.

I will look through some trip reports but hopefully some others will post their time slots here.

The Princess Gathering was at 12:30 PM on the second day of our cruise, which was the 1st sea day of our cruise. A picture of our tickets from the cruise are below.

We were on the 5 night Magic. Originally, we had Princess Gathering at 10 am on the first sea day. Then I realized DD was still on west coast time and we were able to change it to 3:30 pm, which was the all aboard time for Grand Cayman.

I don't think you can pick up more tickets than just for your own reservation(s).

I only need two tickets and my reservation will more then cover that. :) But thank you for the headsup

Thank you!

Hi there,
Do I need to reserve princess gathering meet/greet ' from guest services? I did not see this as an excursion option.

It's not an excursion. Tickets are only available once you board the ship. Check the Navigator you get at check in where/when the tickets are distributed. It's usually at the Port Adventures desk, but can vary.

Okay dokey, thank you :-)

How did you like this 5 dayer? We are taking this cruise in 12 days. The children are very excited. Any tips you'd love to share?

It was great! It was our first DCL cruise, I was most impressed with the cleanliness, excellent service, and awesome shows (especially Tangled). The 5 night length was good for us, enough time to settle in and try it out. Though of course, 7 would be even better. :)

Tips...there's a free 50MB internet package you can sign up for, only on the first night. Make sure to turn off all your automatic updates, or even better, have the ConnectAtSea help desk do it for you. My DH is pretty tech savvy, but he still didn't get all of them and my phone burned through all the data within 5 minutes. That and don't try to do too much (that would be me), and don't try to eat your money's worth (that would be DH). :)

Have a great trip!

We were on a 4 night. When I went to get tickets, they asked me if I had excursions booked on port days, so I assume they have meets on those days as well but don't know for sure. We did have excursions so she put us down for 10am on the sea day so there would be no interference with time.

We were on 6 nights Wonder. We got the ticket as soon as we boarded, and were assigned the time around noon on a port day. I thought it was odd day and time, so I verified with the CM who was giving me the ticket. She checked and said that was the correct time. The day and time came...DD dressed in a princess dress, so excited and went to the atrium early. As it was the port day, not many people were around. But as it got closer to the time, and we saw no one around, we knew something was wrong. 3 minutes before the assigned time, I went to the guest service to see if we were at the right place. The guest service said Princess M&G was held early in the morning that day, saw our ticket and said the time was incorrect!!!
The guest service was able to give us another ticket later...lucky it was not a 3 or 4 day cruise.
The date and time are handwritten. Maybe the CM was looking at the screen and seeing the correct time, but she was not writing down the correct time. I do not think this happens often...but if you think the assigned time is odd, triple-check it!!
