Princess Gabby's First Trip to her "Happy Place" (new installment 10/1/10 pg 5)

Catching up!! I had soo many comments I wanted to make on stuff, but they all went out the window when I read about Gabby telling Naveen you thought he was dreamy!! I had to read it to dh. He's always making jokes about my "boyfriend" after I told him how much I love Naveen's face! He'll actually try to lead me over there every chance he gets. Thank goodness Tiana always has such a huge line. I'm so worried he'd try something like that, too! He laughed when I read what Gabby said. I don't think you got the Naveen that I'm so in love with, though sometimes pics make it tough to tell. He looks younger or something..

Sucks that the CM told you CHH had icecream. You'd think they would know the menu. I think it's hilarious that I'm being thought of with that place now. I love it!

Thinking happy thoughts for you on your walk! LOVED the dress, too!

You're having dinner in the castle?? Soooooo jealous!! Can't wait to read more!!

Ok..I screwed up my photobucket royally. I tried to put some new pics in and do some organization and it put my pics all out of order and the order was helping me with the story. Then i tried to fix them and moved some to the wrong album then when trying to fix that I deleted them. Now I am trying to load everything back and my pics are getting errors. i am getting so frustrated!! You would think that someone who has a degree Information Services and that is what I do for a living that it should not be that hard!!!SHEESH..please bear with me!!LOL

Thanks!! You know what is really frustrating is that everytime I go to upload pictues, it keeps saying there is an error with the pictures. But these are the same pictures that were uploaded before so I don't know why there is an issue now???

Lisa it is so strange that the pictures were fine in that account and jsut would not go in..I thought my computer had a virus or something!!
Yes, we still tease her about that!Espcially since she was all laid across the bed like she was on her death bead!!LOL

Ok, so when we last left off. I was setting up the surprise for Gabby while she and her dad napped.
This is what would be waiting for her when she woke up.

It was a Minnie Doll in a Cinderella Dress and an invitation to Dinner at Castle that night.
Then I layed back down.
Our ressies for the Castle were for 6:50, and my plan was to wake back up at 6:00 but it was a little after that. I had brought the cutest white top to wear but Trevor wanted me to put back on my shirt because he was putting on his, I really did not want to put the same old stinky shirt back on but since he wanted to match and he never does, I did not want to start an argument on vacation, much less in Disney world.
So woke up Gabby and I had her go and get her surprise. I don’t have any pics because she was just so excited that she grabbed me and was hugging me. After she calmed down she said..but I don’t have anything to wear.. I showed her the dress that I had brought with us for her and her silver shoes.. She was sooo happy. So I got her dressed and had her put on her sneakers because I did not know if the ballet shoes would be supportive enough..I told her she could change at the castle.
While I was getting Gabby together my mom came in with the boys..They oooohed and awed for a bit and then we had to hustle. As soon as we stepped out the door Gabby was getting compliments on her dress and people were calling her princess and she was eating it up!!
**Side note, I had debated about brining that dress because I thought she would want to get a princess dress, especially once she saw all the other girls wearing one, but she did not say one thing about it the whole time, so I was very glad that I brought it!!**
We had just missed the MK bus and the next one came at 6:40, I was a bit worried so when we got off the bus we were doing a fast walk up Main Street. I did stop and take this 1 pic planning to take some after dinner. I am glad that I did because we would not be able to walk down the middle of Main Street for the rest of the night.

We got to CRT at 7:10 apologizing for being late..they were not even phased!!LOL They checked us in and in we went.. the little waiting room was packed, and we got in line for Gabby to Meet Cinderella.

I did not know that you could put your photo package pictures on your PP so I guess I will have to scan that one too..I sure hope you guys don’t get tired of me and having to scan pics!!
After we took the picture, a family got called up so we grabbed a seat on the bench.

A couple of people were taking pics with the Knight so Gabby wanted one, but she would not get close to it.. I think she thought it was real…lol

We sat for quite and while and finally we were called. We went upstairs on the elevator we had to stand over off the side for a bit because the Princess were just coming out, I felt strange just standing there. Gabby and I looked at each other and said “awkwaaaaaaard”.. then were seated on the top level in the corner on the left.

First up was Snow White

Then our appetizers were served, I got the served with a Sweet Corn Nectar topped with a Fennel Salsa, Gabby got the soup ,but I can’t remember what Trevor ordered I don’t see it in my notes. It was pretty tasty!

Next up was Belle in her Library Dress..(or whatever it is called)

Then Our Food.
Trevor and I both got Pork Chop - with Bacon and Mushroom Ragout and Red Bliss Mashed Potatoes finished with Sweet Chipotle Glaze, I asked for mine with out the Mushroom.
I really liked mine, I need to ask him If he liked his.

Gabby got the Hotdog, with the potatoes and string beans..they only thing she really ate was the hotdog.

Then they had the wish ceremony where they turn off the lights and the kids wave around the wands they were given and make a wish.

Then Gabby and Trevor did what any normal people would do when at Disney World and eating in Cinderella’s Castle….THUMB WRESTLE!!!!!LOL

Then I was saved, when the desert was brought out.
Trevor and I both got Chocolate Cream Cheese Buckle - A single layer of Chocolate Cake stuffed with Cream Cheese topped with Créme Chantily and finished with Créme Anglaise Sauce.
It liked it but it was not what I was expecting.. it was more muffiney than cakey…

Gabby got the Royal Crown Sunday

Oh I forgot that sometime during the evening they brought over the pictures that are included with the meal.
After we were done, we made our way to the steps. I had the bright idea of having Trevor go to the bottom of the stair case and take Gabby’s picture while she was up top…it did not come out as planned..lol

The plan was to get on Dumbo and The Teacups before we left while everyone was watching the fireworks but they had that area roped off so we walked through the castle archway intending to head towards Main Street but we were in for a little surprise..The entry for the ramps(going up) was roped off too!! So we didn’t know what to do!! A CM came out and told us that we could stay up there for the parade but when it was over we would have to go down. So we stayed up there with about 3 other families. It was kinda cool. Being right up on the castle when it was changing colors and being able to see the parade without having to fight the crowd.

We tried to take some artistic pics but they did not come out well

Soon the parade started and T picked up G so she could see better.
*side note, sometimes I write G or T..we call each other that sometimes especially when we are texting…LOL*

I won’t bore you too much with mine..here are some AWESOME ones that came with my PP

So after the parade was over the CM came out and said we would have to go down.. I was looking at all those people thinking OH NO this is so not how I planned it, I was getting a little nervous because I don’t do well in crowds like that. So we went down the ramps on the right and there was an empty space right to the right side of the rope right in front of the castle.
I really didn’t want to see the fireworks this close up but we had no choice! There was no way we could get through that wall of people. So we settled in.

Gabby was saying she wanted to sit down, but T didn’t want her to sit on the ground.. I said let her unless you plan on holding her. That dress had done us well(she had worn it in a wedding, and for her birthday).
So she said on the ground, with Trevor standing right behind her so no one would step on her.

I leaned on the garbage can..lol and we watched the castle change colors while we waited.

We chit chatted about our day and pretty soon the fireworks started… I was a little annoyed because this group came behind us and this little old lady kept putting her purse on my but(I was bent over) like I was a shelf… I took a bunch I will only post a few so I won’t bore you..lol Believe it or not, my favorite one, was taken with my cell phone so I could post on FB.

The upside to being so close to the castle was that you were right by the ropes for when they started letting people into Fantasy Land.
I told Trevor that I would run and get us a spot on The Tea Cups and for him to grab Gabby and catch up.
So I turned around and was at the rope.. at this point people started pushing trying to get to the front but I stood my ground. The CM that was in charge of the rope was letting people out that were coming out of CRT and had to continuously ask people to step back, so I told her to let them out on my side and when I saw someone coming I would move to the side. I couldn’t believe the way people were acting! They were also harassing her and getting smart asking her when she was going to let the rope up.
Soon it was time and she let my side of the rope first..HAHHA SUCKAS!!
People started pushing and I let some people go ahead. I made it to the Tea Cups and T and G were not that far behind. Gabby was so excited to be riding the Tea Cups at night and with her dress on (people were still complimenting her on her dress and calling her princess)

After that we were going to get on Dumbo but I saw that Pooh was a short line so we jumped in.

Then we made our way to Dumbo….Gabby wanted to take a picture on the Dumbo outside.

I looked at Trevor and he looked like he was gonna have a fit!!LOL
I told him that we would be able to make it through but he doubted me.. I told him.. I had a plan we went down the left side and I told him..I was taking Gabby and for him to keep up.
Once we went down the ramp and around I found the sidewalk open and we hustled out of there..Gabby and I were fast walking and I would turn around and see that T was not far behind.. We made it to the Train Station JUST as the parade was ending..YAY!! Which meant we were ahead of all those people watching the parade!!
Turned around and took one look at the castle one more time

When we got to the bust stop there was a bus there..we got a seat and shortly after the bus pulled up.
Ten Mins later we were walking up these

When we got to the room,my mom was still up so I sat out in the LR and talked to her for a while then Gabby and I got in the Jacquzi tub to soak our worn bodies!!
We didn’t get into the bed till after 12.
The Next day was AK day for us..did we make it at rope drop??

Dinner in the castle seems like it must be so magical and looks like you all had a great time. I LOVE that they thumb wrestled at dinner!

Gabby looks so very beautiful in her princess dress. I'm glad that she didn't even realize that she wasn't in one of the princess dresses that Disney sells 'cause she looked every bit as pretty in her own dress. The food looks really good at CRT. We have never eaten there but I may have to rethink that.

You were very lucky to get to watch the parade from the castle forefront. I know you were initially disappointed in having to watch the fireworks from so close to the castle but it looks like it was a good view.

I just hate that people were pushing and shoving and harassing the castmember who was on rope drop duty. I have never understood why people act like a horse's butt like that.

Gabby looks so pretty in her dress! You really got your money's worth out of that one! I laughed when I saw her all dressed up like that...eating a hot dog. Fancy.

It looks like you had an amazing meal! The food looks so delicious! I hope Gabby had good interactions with the princesses.

That is strange that you were stuck up in the castle. That's unique, anyway. I bet it was fun, in a weird way!

I love all the pictures of the castle in different colors. You really had some time on your hands while you waited! The pictures of the fireworks are beautiful though, so it seems like you had a great spot! I can NOT believe someone used you as a shelf! I hope you gave her a memorable look.

The parade looks beautiful! I have not seen that parade yet, and I am looking forward to it. I love the parades!
