Princess fun at disneyland

We are planning a first trip to DL right after Christmas. I have been reading and reading and just getting more confused lol. My daughter is 7. If we were to do the BBB (we would bring a ball gown because she wants to dress like a princess but not like one of "the princesses"). Is there somewhere to go to enjoy the outfit after. A restaurant? A character meal? What can't miss things are there. Any and all help is appreciated about any of disneyland.

Depending on the package you purchase, they will walk her down to the theatre (can't think of the name of it at the moment, sorry), announcing to "Make way for Princess _____!" Otherwise, there's nothing that's included afterwards.

However, there's tons you can do, and she will be fawned over wherever you go! Some ideas would be things like heading to Ariel's Grotto for lunch, or going to meet the princesses.

Depends on how much time you want to spend looking for them I believe you can meet several at Ariel's Grotto for the character meal, as well as whomever is at Princess Royal Hall (I think that's what it's called now).

Edited to add: Of course, you may end up "doubling up" on the Princesses you meet... Some are much more common (Cinderella, Belle, Tiana, Aurora) and others are less common (Mulan, Pocahontas).

Ariel's Grotto will have 4 princesses plus Ariel, so 5. Fantasy Faire is 2-3 plus Rapunzel and Merida have their own meet in that area (well, Merida is around the corner at small world), so that's another 4-5 in one shot. Some others have their own meets in other parts of the land (Tiana in New Orleans and Jasmine in Adventureland).

It's the Castle package, but this includes your child's choice of princess dress, which you said your child didn't want. It's around $200 which includes makeover, pictures and the escort to see the princesses (and bypass the wait) on top of the dress. It's not a bad deal if your DD wanted to be a specific character. We spent $100 on makeover and pictures plus $45 at home (Disney store) for her dress, although dresses at the park run $65. So you essentially are "paying" an additional $35 for your child to receive special front of the line escort to see 2-3 princesses.
